You couldn’t get me there if you were pushing or pulling me with a two ton tractor head. Bull! Another photo op get the public involve so you can get them on your side kind of thing, this just might do it, this just might camouflage their position. Right.

Always read the fine print! Look at the bottom of the first posting here!
It says:

"*****Disclaimer My fellow Bahamians I would like to say that this is true, but I regret to inform you it's not!*****"

You mean the gov't is into sugarcoarting that much that this is what they would do. Well you already chose to not have a voice, so you being wary of being apart of this isnt surprising.

well it looks like a challenge, and an insult!
they want US to do it for them...
if we are going to form militias...then we should plan a coup!!

i cant believe the arrogance of the government..we voted them in, and this is their response to a serious problem!

this "if the memo is true" seems to be a challenge placed by the govt that it doesnt expect the citizens to take up!!
i am insulted and hopes it backfires...

WE PAY THEM TO PROTECT US, NOT FOR US TO PROTECT OURSELVES..THESE MUTHA-SUCKAS HAVE IT BACKWARD!!

get from here with dat foolishness for i get REAL mad!!!
:taped:

but what we should be doing is watching people who are harbouring them and who are supporting them with documentation, that is one thing the average citizen should do...but form a militia...we should form a militia just to overthrow the govt!!
flippant bastards!!!
:sparky:

wait a sec isnt this like a metaphorical, satrical symbol with deeper meanings, or is this real? Does the disclaimer mean that the memo is false, or the promises are false? Im sure its false. Cuz no one in their right mines would do what Immigration officers are being paid to do. If this is true then he govt should be ashamed but it aint true so moot point.

Like I said long time ago (and I recall CG agreeing with me up to a point), when the government is faced with these hard problems, call a brainstorming session of the WHOLE house and solve them one by one.

If they find themselves still struggling after a long session, send someone out on the street and ask the first half dozen persons they find (the more ordinary-looking, the better) to come upstairs and take part in the session.

Doing this properly will eventually solve ANY issue! And it will have the added advantage of "killing" that party loyalty mindset which is the main hindrance to our progress. [you know, the foolishness 'bout "I born a PLP/FNM and ga die a PLP/FNM......."]

I want to believe that the day will come in this happening, but the way it seems, the people in "POWAH" think the ordinary citizen is too stupid to even spell his own name let alone decide what's in their best interest. Funny how things change in election years, the arrogance and superiority complexes dwither away.

and after all this Jesus is still blessing the Bahamas

Yeah, guess we just have to continue to keep our hope strong. After a while some of the young folks are going to cause the govt to make some big changes. Watch those two guys who glued themselves to the mace just before the last election. Only trouble, after a long while and a change of govt happens, the new people run the country very well for a couple years then they go right back into that mode of doing all kind of wrong things, "looking out for themselves" as it is said.
