For last 3 days I have been monitoring ZNS head lines, just to see if anything interesting is happening. Guess what, it appears as if nothing has happened over the last 4 days. The head lines consists of: Well you know its Easter; Did you get your fish; Did you go on the beach; Did you go to church; What's happening in church this weekend. In truth absolutely nothing. I think such topics should have been secondary, not the head line on the country's National station.

seems to that it depends on the wats goin on. Remeber after the terrible Village road incident, every night it was that, then the next week it was about the MOI and their raids.

maybe its just me, but i notice details alot.

Truly they are not looking for anything, I passed on some information to one of the reporters an original kind of feature story to look into and the reporter returned saying that the GM does not want to get into that because of bla bla bla reasons…
They are pretty much fixed and satisfied so you won’t be missing anything much at all if you fix your TV to stop at channel 15 like rory said.

ZNS is a poooooooor excuse for a national radio station, government subsidized and all. Where the hell all these reporters with American accents come from? Can't OUR radio station promote our identity. They gat one gal reading the news who reads like a nervous Grade 3 child.. can't hardly understand her. And that boy Thompson can't read at all. I mean he messes up common Bahamian names. But then ... who they working for?

... No, the Bahamian people, and it's time we make them earn their keep.

I agree that ZNS should be promoting the identity of Bahamians, and reporting the stories that matter to us. Like I said, CNN, MSNBC, can do the global reporting, but the majority of ZNS's focus should be on issues relting to our archipelago.

Weren't the Politicans on Easter break? What do you expect ZNS to do when this is the source of their headlines.

this post had me laughin like crazy. but serously in terms of the accent as you know the people that get these positions had to go off to college so they lost the accent. we need to try keep our people at home for college

I feel for you...that is a sad accent to have...

man bahamians just have a diverse accent, i have been confused for african more than once. when i tell people from the bahamas they be like no way you sound american. and then sometimes i open my mouth and they ask me where i am from right away. it is amusing to me.

but on the real ZNS need to get it together; they lucky the dont have any real news compition, cuase they woulda get blow out long time ago
