Get your facts straight. That dont happen in every case. Some people wait years before they get straight to live in the US. My cousin is a perfect example.

in the circumstance of marriage in rare cases this is true however it is usually the fualt of the applicant not having certain things in order

I'm aware buddy! But, seems we still have too much fuzz.... we also need to get a handle on the immigration situation .... the leaks need to be sured up and the illegals reduced as best possible! In summary: we need order as with every other country in the world. Right now, my good Sir, I'm afraid too many see us as a big play ground....

bahamians need to realise that this immigration situation is what it is and its not going to get better.

ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP EVERY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT THAT ATTEMPTS TO GET IN.

the only tightening up that needs to be done is heavy fines for employing illegals.

i find people blaming the defense force becuase the boat made it to nassau ridicualous.

they cant be every where all the time. ILLEGALS WILL GET THROUGH THE SYSTEM

This is 2008. The RBDF should have been able to intercept that boat way before it reached Nassau through radar technology and the like. We are unable to police our borders, and we are paying a huge price in addition to Bahamians who employ illegal immigrants.

it sounds easy but these boats are not easy to track if you see them form the air the boats blend in with the sea. they only hoist there sails at night and because they are wooden hulls its allmots next to impossible to track them by rader

We could do something but we choose not to. We in their back pocket so why ruffle any feathers.

Then we need to increase our patrols. Not having any control over our borders is a serious thing. I know its alot of sea to patrol, but we need to be building a world class navy to help tackle our illegal immigration situation.
