My passport expired ten days ago. Do you think I can travel to the US now with an expired passport and a birth certificate? No. I'll have to wait for the passport office to issue a new one, sometime in October or November.
Why should US citizens get any different treatment?
I don't know if the US Immigration scrutinizes your passport to that extent once u have a valid Visa......

And if u work at the airport and they know you chile.......I know this happened to two persons b4. Of course this was before 9/11.....one worked at the airport and the immigration guys knew them......bit he was going to Toronto thru Miami and when he got to Toronto that was another story!
Another person I was travelling with had an expired passport...she did not realize until she was back in Nassau!

Then I know of a situation were Bahamians in the US did not have their baby's birth certificate nor did the baby have a passport.....one call by the airline to immigration here and they told them if the parents have Bahamian passports that are not expired the baby can come without documents.....when they left the Bahamas, the US did not give them any grief...and this was after 9/11.......they did however bring a copy of the birth record fromt the hospital in case they were accused of kidnapping.

Can a Bahamian whose travel documents are not in order enter the USA for a visit NO, USA immigration will send you away quick fast and in a hurry. :) )

Anna hated her mother and I saw the interview where she blasted her mother for everything she said after Daniel died. And she hasn’t seen her mother in over ten years. What makes her mother think that Anna would want her near her daughter now. This baby is being pulled in so many directions and should just stay where she is for now. All the leaches and sharks are coming out. But you don’t see Anna’s father flying out to the Bahamas. But Anna’s daughter Dannielynn Hope is now being taken care of by Howard’s mother and sister who have flown to the Bahamas. She was first being taken care of by the mother of Shane Gibson, a high-ranking Bahamian official and close friend of Anna and Howard. You can read here updates I did earlier and everything that pissed me off today while watching the news about all of this. Like Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband Frederick Von Anhalt is now saying he could be the father of Dannie Lynn.

Obviously this individual think of the Bahamas as a banana republic and believes civilized rules only work in the USA! Bravo to Bahamasair , They NOW know inspite of their complaining, that is not the case! and that just as the USA need foreigners money(and Boy do they need it now) and enforces thier rules, So does my little nation called The Commonwealth of the Bahamas!!

If some of these posts are indicative of the way we as a people read and process information, then we are surely in trouble. Did anyone bother to actually read the first post? Firstly, the guy implied he was Bahamian. Secondly, the issue is not (1) entering the Bahamas and implications with immigration, NOR is the issue (2) RE-ENTERING the US! The complaint is about trying to obtain information from BAHAMASAIR, which we all know is crap.

Why, oh WHY if you have an enquiry, must you be passed around to EIGHTEEN people, NONE of whom can give you a satisfactory answer? There is NO JUSTIFICATION for this. Sure, the person is in the wrong for not checking the validity of the passports, but he has acknowledged that, and it is not the central point. The point is why is Bahamasair operating with a bunch unqualified/useless staff, who are incapable of helping the public with their enquiries??? If the dude can't fly, just say so! No way they can just not 'know' and have to pass around to another 'unknowing' person. Bad management is all I have to say:hammer:
