Anyway I have a question for those who use Batelnet as their ISP. Can you access the plp website? I tried to go there yesterday to research something and got what we used to get here at times when Batelnet was blocking our access to BI, i.e. page not found, yet was able to get through to the site using a proxy server.

And before yall jump down my throat about wanting to go to the plp site anyway and all the other negativities that I know are going to come this way. I really am just trying to find out if you can get there with batelnet or not :)

I use dsl in Nassau but im on coral wave at home now. I know one company did the site for both parties, but im not sure if it's hosted on the same server....but I guess you obviously checked to see if you can get on either already.

I just check just to see if the site was down but it isn't. Try calling them BTC?

Actually I can't get on the fnm site now either :D. So it is obvious that something is blocking the server (as they are both hosted at the same place, if I remember correctly)

i have batelnet, dialup at home and DSL at office ... no issues either way.

i have it and cannot get on the PLP website. a while ago I would have problems accessing this site, and sometimes I still do.BOL...... Just thinking.... the PLP website.... at least a good public service duty on the part of BTC....thanks you btc.... BOL........

I have it in the office and sometimes I can get on and other times I am unable to. Some days I have trouble getting on to BI as well. I do not think that it is blocked.

Well that is the PLP take on it already.. if you listen to Senator Jerome Fritzgerald in the senate this morning.. he asked if the government can answer if BTC has any authority to block any ulr address and if they are for the government to say which one are been blocked...However, I have absolutely no problem getting on the PLP website........ so HOG WASH....

BTC's DNS setup is borked.

I've been calling them about this for some weeks, and they are fully aware of the issue. I can only presume its not been resolved due to the lack of knowledge in how to resolve it (I've offered to resolve it for them, to no avail)

Oh well.

So, I just called again (still trying to get through to someone who has a clue), and they forgot to put me on 'hold'.

I sat for 5 minutes listening to 6-7 people arguing with each other about what to do with the call as none of them wanted to speak to 'another pissed off customer' complaining about DNS.

As usual, they said someone would call me back.
