Thanks for the link, I found the article very interesting reading... Moreover, I saw a follow-on article in the same publication, The Economist, entitled, "The Anglican Communion: The high price of togetherness" , which offered an interesting prospective on the aftermath of the Lambeth Conference. This is a must read!!!... :hammer:

Da problem wit yinna sissies is yall onnie tink yall gat rights(narcissim). Da bishop gat a right to express he wiews, an a responsibility to repersent he archdioseace. As I recall dey accept gays as persons, but doan allow dem to hold high positions(no pun intended).

You are absolutely correct, in that the good Archbishop does have an absolute right to express his views, and certainly as the Metropolitan of the Providence of the West Indies, he has to represent his see. However, what I find ironic is, despite his public views on homosexuality, it is common knowledge that there exists within his own diocese clergymen who dabbles (also known as being on the down low), and some who live openly gay lifestyles. Moreover, some of these gay clergymen are found among those in the highest echelon of the church. What I am simply saying is that the church should practise what it preaches; otherwise, it comes across looking extremely hypocritical. :taped2:
