Tourists wanna be all up in Kemp Road 12 am. What they there for???

True, but in all honesty, we need to work on it being safe everywhere for everyone at all times.

all the best,

Tru dat! It would be nice fa all. Some tourists are just adventurous or plain silly, especially the young ones. I ova tu the Corner Motel lounge one nite wit plenty family and friends,it around midnite the place is wild! In walks this young blonde couple, obviously American. At first dey cool, then the local guys start hittin on the girl,n' they gettin wery nervous. Make a long story short,I engaged them in conversation and convinced them to get a cab back to Cable Beach and to limit their latenite adventures to Vince's or something in dat area. That whole ting could have been avoided if they had some sense.:dgi:

While I agree with your point, someone (a Bahamian?) must have told them about the Corner Motel in the first place, because it is not on the usual tourist route :) Also, it seems to me that, a lot of our visitors have problems like the one you mentioned at venues that are touted to them as "in" places to go either by their tour directors, taxi drivers or whoever. I am thinking of places like Cocktails, Waterloo, Fluid etc.

Maybe it is us Bahamians that need an attitude adjustment? Why shouldn't anyone in our country, Bahamian or not, black, white, pink or green be able to traverse the islands at anytime and be safe.

And what's wrong with Kemp Road at 12 am? I have spent some of my best times in Nassau there at that kind of time :D

Tourists too are recognizing the "watered down" tourist product provided by Kernzer, etc. and want the local experience. Whether that's a good or bad thing remains to be seen.

Update to the story - Both the husband and wife passed away. :(

RIP Mullanys.

Ditto. Third. Don't worry, it takes a while to get use, as we say.

Why should the tourists be criticized for wanting to experience local flavour? It just goes back to the disrespect of the female that I eleuded to earlier.
