I am becoming more and more frustrated with BaTelCo's cellular services. Sometimes, I feel like throwing my cell phone away but then I remember I paid for it. When dialing out at peak hours the following occurs.

When dialing a party, phone cuts out after several rings with a busy tone

When calling out instead of getting through to the party, you get the voicemail and the party never receives the call

When calling out, you get call failure

there is a delay in voicemail and text messages

Conversations are being heard on a party's cell phone by other parties (cross line).

Cell phones are ringing and when not answered you can hear two parties conversation

To me this is serious. My friend called me the other day and told me he could hear my whole coversation and he told me what I was talking about.

When i purchased a cell phone, i mainly purchased it for emeregencies but if BaTelCo is going to keep up this poor service then I wouldn't need a cellular phone. If someone is trying to reach me urgently, I will never be reached at peak hours and that will defeat the purpose of a cell phone.

Also, are we getting billed under these circumstances because my cell bill has increased and has been very high during the past couple months. Of course, it would be when you try to reach someone and you keep trying, not knowing for sure if it is the system or not. If it is true we are getting billed after the first few rings would this cause an increase on our billing?

I feel Batelco needs competition in order to improve.

BaTelco needs mor than just competition. Its sickening the way they run their show. I am ALWAYS without cellular service. Their service or lack thereof sucks!! Badly!!!

go 'head den! But seriously though, this is one of the things that baffles me about what BTC is trying to do..they want to launch out with GSM and all its wonderful features, but they havent sorted out coverage with TDMA to the satisfaction of those thousands of customers on that network. And as for GSM, we all know how great that DONT work. Its like trying to hang your hat higher than you can reach it. Get one system sorted out properly before you spend millions of dollars to expand another system that has even more problems than the first.

oh I forgot.....da wife let all her minutes run out on her TDMA for a couple a weeks. when she went to add a card last week she got a message saying she can no longer add minutes or use her TDMA phone because BTC is now discontinuing TDMA. well, das a pink razor for her mudda's day I guess.

GSM sucks. Total waste of time.
TDMA is "ok"..but, the hidden charges like when you roam and your over seas calls have to be addressed.

I have a bill of last month of over 345.00 in overseas calls and roaming charges, charges they never explained to me when I got service.
Talk about in-efficient!

GSM is a bunch of crap that allows the phone co,to add many more lines at the expense of good service.TDMA was better and the analog systems were better still. Sorry as it is,the newer systems are designed to handle more lines,at a much less efficient rate. Add the above to an aloof government owned entity and by god here we are.No recourse.
