aint no big difference.........dats why i was confused to see all the hollering and hooting over a D plus.........wow dread.........Carl them really need to think of the big picture..........but I guess he would do anything to say he doing something, to get some press ya know........

And i personally believe those grades were inflated.......cuz nothing really changed between last year and this year to point to dat plus coming.......did Carl and crew drop a few grades off, discarded a few students results?!>?!?!
Actually they cut a few persons from taking certain exams..

At CC Junior my daughter was not allowed to take a certain exam and at the PTA meetings several parents were complaining that the school was not accepting monies from certain people for certain exams....

The principal did not like to hear that and said that no teacher can stop any student from taking as many exams as the school offers....I thought that they were playing good cop and bad cop!!

They screened the persons taking exams but they also did offer some after school classes which, I am quite sure helped my daughter...

What's the difference between a D+ and a C-???? I thought if the teacher liked you they gave you a C- and if they didn't you got ba D+.....I don't see the big difference there!
Big diff.

One can mean the difference from you graduating and not graduating, passing or failing.

Site note. Them pluses and minuses are huge.

At COB, A B for example is 3.0, a B- drops u to a 2.75 (which aint much of a B) while a B+ brings u way up to a 3.5, which then affects your entire final GPA. Man, I hated them minuses.

But yea, back on topic.

If the National exam is graded on a scale from A to H the the national average is right on mark with D or D+ being the mean. Change the grading system to reflect what is standard worldwide, A to F and there won't be this contraversy.

Accept that not all students should be in an academic stream and introduce other types of schools and different ways of evaluating students and you would see a change in BGCSE results.

I have said it before and I will say it again, not all students have the same academic capabilities, not all students learn the same way; so create a system that caters to all students fairly.

I know in High School it wasnt much of a difference with the plus and minus.
The funnier part is that on ur BGCSE results it only goes in A, B, C, D, E, G etc without the pluses or minuses. Least from what i know public schools dont even use the plus/minus system.

Dont know why they use it for the results when they report the national averages. I guess they do it for a better idea of the grades. This makes me even wonder what they call a D+ or a C- or a A- or a B+.

Some places it varies so much.

Goodmorning!!! They are the OPPOSITION!!!

op·po·si·tion :-
the action of opposing, resisting, or combating.
a person or group of people opposing, criticizing, or protesting something, someone, or another group.
(sometimes initial capital letter) the major political party opposed to the party in power and seeking to replace it.
the act of placing opposite, or the state or position of being placed opposite.
the act of opposing, or the state of being opposed by way of comparison or contrast.

Obviously they aren't going to agree 100 % of the time therefore they oppose hence the term opposition!

You talk as if the FNM was not doing the same thing to the PLP for 5 years too...

I went to the PLP's 1st year anniversary rally that the FNM held at RM park and they were critizing the PLP in the HOA of being INEPT prior to that...
