One must be blind or stupid not to see that the union and its members are simply afraid of privatization on the whole. Farqui, knows that at this point in the privatization of BTC, the union really is not involve as yet. The government and the potential buyer will iron out some issues and then it is send to the union to give their input and according to the give and take an agreement will be iron out. So at a certain point the workers of BTC, the Bahamian people and the buyers will be satisfied.

But, it appears that the union has had a change of mind relative to privatization. Also amidst the privatization talk, the union is trying to close negotiations on their new industrial contract. So in effect the union is trying to get more money for their members. It is all one big game.

By the way i know that a union must always try to get the best for their members, but they must also be responsible in their actions.
