BTC in North Andros has been broken into and robbed again over night. The second time in a week. The thief (ves) got away with a lot of phones - blackberries etc.

They also pi**in people off big time over here. The national announcement said that TDMA would end here on the 15th August and we should all switch over by then. Went to try switch yesterday to be told that they don't know when they are going to get to pre-paid customers as they are still dealing with post-paid but it definitely won't be till after the discontinuation of TDMA! They then said that they were planning on turning off today Wednesday at not Friday as announced.

I think she is aware of this.

This is terrible, but Andros is surely getting its fair share of crime

Can it be a set-up?

The question in my mind is why now?

This is easily solved...

All BTC has to do is sissue the serial numbers of the phones around town!

When the perps come on they are caught or whomever has the phones will have to say where they got it from!

Lady C, Andros, at least in the North is in a seriously bad state economically right now the people are hurting and it is time to start getting the kids ready for back to school. I think it may get worse before it gets better.

We ain honest enough to fess up to buying a stolen phone. Plus with da GSM system its hard to track stolen phones.

U won't have to fess up...if the serial numbers are distributed, when u step up to get ur SIM card....u will be found out!

I am not so sure about that Suga. I just walked in and purchased my simcard, did not have to produce a phone at all.

Sabotage anyone? Too much of a coincidence that these incidents are occuring at BTC during the time of an industrial strike and anarchy. Someone in BTC know exactly where those phones and blackberries are.
