Again I come to you my Extremely Educated B.I. People to ask a very easy question.

Does myself, being the small fry that I am, have the right or the ability to go to the Dept of Immigration to see a listing of all persons born in another country living in the Bahamas who either has Permanent Residency or a Work Permit?

Do I as a citizen have that right?

Do I as a citizen have that right? You do... will you get it... I do not think so.. what an unorganized mess in Immigration.... but one good way is to go to your member of parliment and ask him/her to ask that question in the house of assembly and get the minister of immigration to give the answer in the house's record.... that is the best way...

That's retarded.

I could see if you ask for a specific person but you want a list of everybody?? And I do think those people have rights themselves. They only relinquish that right when they come to you asking for a job and such. At least that would make sense to me.

I guess if you can ask that question then you should also have the right to ask for a list of Bahamians who are actually citizens of the Bahamas.

Well I guess I may not need everybody's name but I guess my point is if I wanted to know, beside the fact that we know how things are in The Bahamas in terms of getting Public Information, my question is do I infact have the right to do so by law?

Seems like a pretty dangerous precedent. Whats next? Tattooing the star of David on the Jews? Branding the blacks?

Well I guess you feel that you dont need a Passport or a Driver Liscence but in a Civilizied world, one must have citizenship or some form of identification recorded at a certain location in that Country, I guess in the case of the Bahamas (The Department of Immigration or say Road Traffic) regardless of someones Religion or Race but I guess if thats what you want to do, although I would and maybe others would question your ethics, I dont think you will get a lot of support from the Bahamian Community in doing so but I wish you luck if thats what you plan on doing since you came up with the idea!!!!!.....

In any event thanks for your contribution.......:hammer::hammer:
