religion is the most boooooooooring thing in the world dred.
Depends on your teacher! If you had me as your teacher you would not hold that view. I would have taken you through the ego and psyche of mankind and his religious views, thousands of them, and you would be a Guru by now lol! :)

Those who fight it become the better Gurus!

I can't speak for the Hindu or Buddhist but to Catholic that claims to be a christian I will. The RC priest should have known his prayers wouldn't be answered when he was out of order with God's commandment.

The "brotherhood of man" is a novel idea but it has no eternal value in the Christian faith. I have a commandement from my God to be separate if I want to be received by Him. This does not restrict us from helping people but we must keep in line with His order.

2 Corinthians 6:13-18

14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

What was God’s command? To love no matter what?

Forgive me, but you seem to make God a intolerant being. Surely, an all loving, all forgiving God, has compassion for his creation. He is a God that has seen people come and go. He has seen religions come and go.

For most of the world’s history there was no Christianity, no Judaism from which Christianity sprang. Christianity has been around for 2,000+ years. Judaism for maybe 5,000 years. But mankind has been around for 20, 000or more years.

The brotherhood of man is very much what Christ was all about. He spoke with, and was impressed by Samaritans, Romans and others that were not in line with what we might call “his belief.”

The Brotherhood of Man is the only hope for mankind. We need to respect each other in our actions and beliefs. To separate yourself only makes the divide deeper.

Thanks CG. I choose to believe in a God that is slow to anger and rich in compassion. I would think that Christ would much rather us to live by the spirit of His teaching rather than knit pick about the details of it.

Romans 15:7 (New International Version)

7Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Galatians 3:28 (New International Version)

28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:11 (New International Version)

11Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

I prefer to live a life of inclusion rather than exclusion, a life of tolerance and acceptance rather than clinging to a myopic view of Christianity and using it as a tool of division and derision.

It would seem to me that anyone who is secure in their religion, as you seem to be, would not be threatened but “others.” In fact they would embrace them. They would live a life of example, not intolerance. They would live a life of inclusion not exclusion or separation.

As a show of my love (tough sometimes) I must tell you the truth. God showed His great love for us by dying on the cross in our place to pay for the sin of all mankind. Before mankind came on the scene, The Christ was slain before the foundations of the earth for our sakes. So the way that he left us to follow is the only way to life. Jesus was all about the redemption of mankind with the following requirement to be called a brother.

John 1:12

12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Matthew 10

32Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

40He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

You see God is the separator. He came to send a sword to find out where you stand. If you receive Him you in the family, if not you remain outside.

The only hope for mankind is Jesus!

Who is on the Lord's side?

I have one thing to ask, if that is true what about one of the parables that Yeshua told about the GOOD SAMARITIAN (hope me spelt it right) if thats not a great example of the brotherhood of man i dont know what is. Also if Yeshua is the figurehead of Christianity and he obviously showed by that parable that the brotherhood of man is not a bad thing how can his followers believe so.??

The "gospel of inclusion" seems to be popular these days. I think it's U.N. ordained. Well, you can only be included if you have received Jesus. All the scriptures you quoted "only" belong to those who have been born again. Christ is in all that have received Him.
