I believe we are experiencing signs of the times, WORLDWIDE. I will repeat something I have siad on this forum a number of times: In chapters 2 and 3 of the book of Revelation, Christ speaks of the 7 churches, and the sad thing is that only 2 out of the 7 were pleasing Him -- that is 28.6%. Many Bible scholars believe only that same percentage of churches worldwide is pleasing Him today!

Let's put this into context. First of all, it was John who SAID that only two of the seven churches were pleasing. Don't forget these were existing congregations of the SAME religion. Christianity was just beginning. These are the seven churches:

Ephesus
Smyrna
Pergamum
Thyatira
Sardis
Philadelphia
Laodicea

Only Smyrna and Philadelphia were worthy in John's eyes. Here is what he had to say about them:

(1) Ephesus (Revelation 2:1-7) - the church that had forsaken its first love (2:4).

(2) Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11) - the church that would suffer persecution (2:10).

(3) Pergamum (Revelation 2:12-17) - the church that needed to repent (2:16).

(4) Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-29) - the church that had a false prophetess (2:20).

(5) Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6) - the church that had fallen asleep (3:2).

(6) Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7-13) - the church that had endured patiently (3:10).

(7) Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22) - the church with the lukewarm faith (3:16).

It is laughable to think that Revelations has any predictive power for the present time. Revelations predicted the downfall of ancient Rome. All biblical scholars will tell you this.

To keep Christianity alive, proponents had to bamboozle their followers to believe that Revelations and indeed any book of the Bible is relevant today. It's the old thing of don't believe what the words say (you are mistaken in your interpretation) but believe what we tell you.

What is really wrong with the Bahamas:

Wealth without work,
Pleasure without conscience,
Knowledge without character,
Commerce without morality,
Science without humanity,
Worship without sacrifice,
Politics without principles”

Wise concepts that can all be found in God's Word...the book of Proverbs in particular is filled with wisdom and knowledge that can be applied to everyday life.

Do you really think that such a thing is realistic? Many people have this notion that all the entire nation has to do is just turn to God "and the land will be healed"......yeah....like it's really that simple.
Forget throwing everyone in the mix.....just in Christiandom alone, in this day and age, when most spiritual Chirstians claim to know and hear the voice and direction of God/Christ/Holy Spirit, many still have a variety of identities of what God is to them and the values thereof. Members of denominations pic and choose the values of their orders to follow....caffeteria Catholics and Protestants. Then we add all the other faiths including the idea of Atheism where even there is a system of values there. Every single individual varies way too differently for such a situation to happen.

To put it simply, "Yes." Don't let them steal your hope.

The true Word of God does not change...only people change.

My question is since your current belief system (whatever that may be) is not the answer why are people fighting the true Word of God???

Please clarify your statement are you saying people fight each other for the true word of G_d or that people are fighting against it? Also please state what and who possesses this word and then after that please proof it.
How are they fighting it?

Pretty good! For the most part your summary of the seven churches compares with the info in my study Bible and (surprising to me) you have the makings of a Bible scholar!

Just two little things: You are saying that JOHN said these things about the 7 churches, but reading from the beginning of Revelation it says, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants -- things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,..." So the message is from God to Christ to His angel, to John..

And page 1959 of my Bible shows a map of those 7 churches positioned in a somewhat circular manner which lends this prophecy a worldwide interpretation. I believe the book of Revelation is a serious end time prophecy of what will soon take place, even though it was written a very long time ago.

I am no prophet or anything but I believe that as time goes by more and more persons will begin to believe and to accept God's holy word!

Ps. Re Revelation predicting the downfall of ancient Rome, I will have to research that..
