This is what I dont get with these religious leaders. On the one hand they say they want the government to heed the voice of the church..but then when the church leaders speak, they either tell you what you already know, or they tell u they dont know more, and maybe a bit less than you.

The prophets in scripture spoke to nations and kingdoms and spoke with specificity such that the people had direction. If these men were of such stock, people would take them seriously. But instead, he tellin you he dont have much hope either. Gee thanks "Father."

Exactly..if you say you have the answers well give us some, thats all. Put up or shut up. In the days of scripture such a thing was taken so seriously that if you called yourself a prophet and spoke something that turned out not to come to pass you were stoned to death. The Bible says God honors His Word even above His own name..so if they have the Word for today - WHERE IS IT?

Many of these leaders only want the church to be valued when it comes to a premium being placed on how well they are treated and worshipped. But God established His church for specific purposes, hardly any of which are being manifested today as scripture says it should be.

I think the church needs to just shut up. They're not helping. The speeches just riles people up for no good reason and no sustainable action comes out of it. And the media just follows them around and publishes it as if this message was the result of some monumental epiphany one fine sunday morning. There are real thing in this country to expose.....quoting a pastor word for word hasn't created any change when I was 10......and it won't today.

They just perpetuate this holier than thou image that crumbles in the face or raw human reality.....and that does much more harm than anything.

For too long they have neglected the message of GRACE and filled the people with this legalistic, half-hearted nonsense. What you have is laymen and clergy trying to be "good" in their own strength and failing miserably with little leadership at all coming from that quarter.

It needs to BE the TRUTH..telling it is one thing, but the Bible says God confirmed His word with signs following. No point in you talking talking talking but the people you talk to see no demonstration even in your own life of what you are talking about. This is and always has been the fundamental problem.

Paul told the Jews in the Book of Hebrews that the gentiles curse God BECAUSE OF THEM, the ones who call themselves God's people. Its no different now, except that its a whole lot worse because perhaps never in the history of Christendom have church folk who are so much in the wrong felt that they were so right.

Didnt Paul say the whole earth is groaning, waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God? Let them raise up and then we may see something.
