The legal system in the Bahamas is so screwed up! Money talks and Bull **** walks! If you commit a crime and you have couple dollars, you pay off everyone involved, and they all go home happy. I don't know why they don't let poor Ninety, Cartwright & Gibson go free - if that damn J. Richard Blankety-Blankenship wasn't sailing the Bahamas' ship, they all would be freed - as a matter of fact, they would have never gone to jail. What's with all the court delays? They obviously have nothing on Ninety or his alledged henchmen, otherwise, they would have been gone a long time ago. On the other hand, poor Austin Knowles - he ran his juicy mouth to everyone, so of course they have taped conversations - Good Luck Aussie!

This case stinks of political coverup. Funky Nassau! Somebody in power needs to speak up for justice in the Bahamas. What's the point of having a civil society if only the poor black and underprivilege are prosecuted and sentenced. Can anyone remember the last time a whitecollar criminal was sent to prison in the Bahamas for any substantial time? Are there any white bahamians in jail today? 15% of 300,000 = 45,000. From this number of persons, we should have a least few white criminals in jail. Are black people the only ones who commit crimes in the Bahamas? There are major conspiracies and coverups in this little town of ours. Funky Nassau!

I hear Joy was pregnant. Ninety made a statement to the police corroborating Newbold's testimony but it wasn't admitted into evidence. Joy's brother also offered pertinent information regarding this case to the police but his offer was declined. When the original investigating officers stumbled upon the truth they were reasigned because they could not be trusted to play the political game. Newbold's original testimony to the police was intentionally lost in this reassignment. Toppin certainly is no Johnny Cochran. No matter how the authorities try to hide behind the lies and obfucations(nice legal sounding word) the truth will come out. Didn't go to church this morning so I decided to rant.

I COULD NOT HAVE SUM IT UP ANY BETTER THAN YOU DID IT. THE EVIDENCE THAT HAVE COME OUT IN THE ASHLEY NEWBOLD MURDER CASE ARE SO STRONG THAT IF THIS CASE WAS INVESTIGATED ANYWHERE ELSE I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THE MILD MANNERED OBIE PINDLING WOULD HAVE BEEN SHARING THE IRON BARS WITH MR NEWBOLD.THIS CASE SO FAR HAVE DASH MY FAITH IN THE JUSTICE SYSTEM. IT IS INDEED A SCARY PROPOSITION THAT A MAN WHO CLAIM THAT HE ALONG WITH ANOTHER CONSPIRED TO KILL ANOTHER, IS THE ONLY ONE ON TRIAL. MOST OF THE EVIDENCE IN THE STATEMENT OF MR NEWBOLD HAS NOT BEEN DENIED BY MR PINDLING. IN FACT MR NEWBOLD EVIDENCE WAS SO POWERFUL THAT A JURY CONVICTED HIM ON THAT ALONE. IF THE JURY BELIEVE THAT HE WAS PART OF THE CONSPIRACY AND EVENTUAL MURDER OF MS CARTWRIGHT ON HIS STAEMENT WHY IS OBIE NOT CHARGE. THE LEAST THE SYSTEM SHOULD HAVE CHARGE OBIE AND LET HIM PUT UP A DEFENSE. THERE'S NO DOUBT THAT HE CAN AFFORD THE BEST DEFENSE LAWYER IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. THIS CASE HAS CAUSE ME TO SEE WHY IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THIS COUNTRY HOLD OFF ON HANGING. IT APPEARS THAT THE RICH AND FAMOUS CAN TRULY GET AWAY WITH MURDER!!!
