VERY TRUE, THEY MAY DECREASE YOUR CHANCES BUT IF USED INCORRECTLY, YOU MIGHT AS WELL DONT USE THEM CAUSE ITS STILL TOO LATE AND ALWAYS (IF YOU DECIDE TO USE CONDOMS) MAKE SURE EEN NO HOLES IN THE BOX OR THE CONDOM ITSELF,,,,,BUY NEW ONES,,,,,YA HAVE A LOT OF EVIL PEOPLE OUT THERE........IN THE MEAN TIME, GET TESTED FIRST AND IN A WAY, WHY SHOULD YOU HAVE TO USE A CONDOM UNLESS YOU ARE NOT BEING FAITHFULL, AVOIDING PREGNANCY, OR BELIEVE THAT THE OTHER PERSON IS UNFAITHFULL, JUST ABSTAIN IF YA CYAN TRUSS DAT PERSON UNTIL YOU ARE 99.9% ERYTING COOL, CAUSE NOTHING IN LIFE IS 100% FOOL PROOF AS ALL OF US TAKE A CHANCE EVERYTIME WE HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE OR WHO WE SLEEP WITH.....

an it defeats the purpose if you:

eat da crabby.
lik dey boongy
suk dey tong (other stds)

and so on ..

As much as I would hope that can work, its not working, when one has that urge, all the education goes out the window, especially when one has the thinking that they are already in prison sentenced to death with a virus shattering thier future so the only thing left to do is CASTRATION, I SAY THAT VICKY BECAUSE IF YOUR CHILD IS IMPRISONED AND LATER FOUND INNOCENT AND IMMEDIATELY RELEASED, THAT VERY SAME RAPIST WITH HIV/AIDS OR EVEN GENITAL HERPES (which a lot of people forget because of the more widely discussed Aids) but supposed that infected person rapes your child, even though they may be released and try to live as best a normal live with treatment, its not fair to your child to recieve and earlier death sentence. you have gone from consunsual sex to rape 2 very different things. Off course, on the day of your childs release, they could accidentally get run over by a bus or some other Final Destination thing could happen but AIDS/HIV mentally kills I would say 98% of its victims from worrying/fear of death and one who is a rapist with AIDS should be seperated from Society and Castrated.
I know of the worry and fear as I had an accidental blood exposure to someone in a high risk group and status un known a while back. It is life changing

Well thats a 50 50 thing their Vicky. I would put it more like this. The only way the infected person should go to jail and you know the rest of what should happen to them by now but if the infected person raped the healthy person then the consequences but if both parties had sex willingly and one gets infected, I still say that by law, if one knows they are infected, they should still be imprisoned if they are proven to not have told the person that they are infected. having sex with out a condom is like playing Russian Roulette you know the risk when you pull the triger. I agree there should ne punishment if one does not disclose I just don't agree with the severity that you speak Now if its proven that both parties have no idea, then the condoms and education should have prevented the disease from spreading and both parties are to blame for not using protection because your health is your wealth and one should be responsible especially with all of the advertisements around the world via sight or radio....
Just for the record, even if an infected person rapes another infected person, the offender should still go to jail because rape is rape no matter what the circumstances are....
I agree whole heartedly here rape is rape I with you an that.

How you mean, consentual sex is not a crime, its a crime (or at least the penalty should be a whole lot more serious than a measly 5 years) but again, its a crime for someone who has consentual sex with another if one of the persons are quite aware of being + and not telling the other person. Thats 1st degree murder, and that is equally as bad as if they raped the person and infecting them. Off course rape is more severe than consentual sex but my first sentence sums it up.....

I know of the worry and fear as I had an accidental blood exposure to someone in a high risk group and status un known a while back. It is life changing

No speka de english, off courrrrse I know dat crazee general, you miss out syphylis, ghonerea, warts, and a a dem udder set but the main teeng is herpes at least the type that is treatable but not cureable goes under the the radar. Ya know something, I remember this particular Genital Herpes commercial where this couple was flying a kite (I would call someones screen name but I ga leave dat lolol) but anyway, I mean day was riding bike off in the sunset as if they were going on a dream vacation, I say well muddow, it seems like its taken so easily. Off course the treatment prevents outbreaks but sometimes it can lead to more cases of herpes because that commercial in my opinion gives the impression that "Oh its no big deal if I get Herpes" I could just take the treatment and I dont have to worry, but the thing is, Herpes shortens ya life too, and like HIV/Aids, Herpes also does not have a cure, at least the more serious type of Herpes....

Its both of their fault, not just the woman. Both should take the necessary steps to protect themself not only from STD's but also unwanted pregnancies. It takes two to make a baby not one.
Same for HIV.

I agree both should take the necessary steps in protecting themself. I rather get pregnant than to catch HIV or AIDS. Even if a condom was used they are not 100% fool proof. I just feel that anyone who have HIV or AIDS sleeps around and dont tell their partner should be charged. Thats like me going into a store with a handgun.

I agree there ahould be a charge and punishment but destorying someones life is not the answer.
If someone is hell bent on spreading HIV which results in AIDS there are many ways besides sex.

The thing is sex is the common and most effective way to spread HIV. A person only have to infect one person and it can go from there. So imagine if an infected male sleeps with me, I get it and sleep with somebody, that person sleeps with somebody and so on. I dont know that I have it so I carry on with my sexual escapades as normal.

HIV thrives because of ignorance.
