View Full Version : School Stabbings
Alien 04-25-05, - 11:33 PM If after-school assistants will offer themselves up, I feel that teachers would be more inclined to contribute of their time. I'm wondering whether persons on probation of minor infractions, (i.e. DUI, etc.) would be a valid suggestion?
if teachers saw citizenry support and whole hearted campaign by citizens they would leave the after school programing process alltogether!!
:D
remember our culture.."why do when someone else is doing it for us"
have to factor in these little things about people...us in general!!
Alien 04-25-05, - 11:35 PM speaking on human rights rory...they are probably not living in the country..or just havent been attacked by an out of control kid!!

No what happened in Florida with that five year old girl was a reflection of how the authority of parents and teachers have diminished in the homes and in the schools in America. I am sure those teachers cared for that little girl, but if they reacted like me or you which probably would have been to give her a good cut *** or some other physical confrontation to subdue her, they would have been sued or imprisoned.
The laws of the US has shifted the authority from parents and teachers to snotty nosed piss tailed little brats. Honestly how many of us here would have acted up in that manner when we were young, without the fear of getting a good beating in the back of our heads. That little girl more than likely acted out in a manner she was accustomed to because her parnets were either too scared or too soft to discipline her.
And those in America wonder why their kids are carrying guns to school and shooting up half of their class and the teacher. I pray America's influence is not that great on this soveriegn nation.
Rizzo 04-26-05, - 08:23 PM Well Teniel, it has already begun it's detrimental influence on our country. Kids are carrying more weapons than some police, and some schools can't touch the students; because it is not allowed or they fear retaliation from the students/parents. I find that a lot of parents nowadays don't discipline their kids anymore, but when they get into trouble, they want to come to their defense; and attack the teacher or authority figure who decided to discipline the child.
I know I used to be afraid of getting punished from my folks, so I didn't do anything I knew I shouldn't. But some kids don't know what it is to be punished, so they don't fear it.
Another thing, what's with all these grudges nowadays? People can't let go of things anymore? I mean what is the problem? If someone does something to you that you don't like, or something goes down...why can't people peacefully resolve these issues? What is there to prove? How hard you are? Or how strong you are? I don't get it. People don't realize how precious life is, or they wouldn't be practicing and glorifying acts that threaten their lives.
I just pray my daughter and any other children I may have never get caught up in something because of someone else's immaturity and insecurity.

That is a result of the "crack babies" being in school and matriculating in society. They have a lawsuit coming because putting that little girl in the back seat of the police car was wrong. Willie Gary will do an exceptional job as defense council in this case. There were some undertones of racial prejudice apparent, the little girl will have a sizeable trust fund after all this mess. But what got me was that there were no black teachers around to control her and all three police officers couldnt control her. and this happened in March why are we just finding out about this now?
k.o.o.l.b.o.n.z.e 04-26-05, - 08:37 PM because it's not a bahamian matter so i wouldnt expect it to be discussed here. but i for one remember discussing this on another site from back then. i laughed then and i still laugh at it now. people dont give kids the credit they deserve, personally i think that this child knew what she was doing was wrong. as long as the cops didnt give her a few shots to the rib on the way to the patrol car i say kudos to them.

are you serious? that is not a laughing matter and this child will be scarred for the rest of her life because of this. no matter if she knew what she was doing or not, she still is a young child who needs structure and guidance.
k.o.o.l.b.o.n.z.e 04-26-05, - 08:55 PM well when i first heard about it i was shocked, then i saw the video back and had no pity, and nothing has changed since. she was restrained, not beaten (i've seen many instances where kids are restrained over here too, not cuffed but i dont see the difference). as long as she wasnt hog tied, i don't see the harm here. maybe a bit of mental scarring is what she needed, maybe she'll be conditioned to think that "if i follow instructions without kicking up a fuss the big men wont take me away again" either way i do agree that she needs discipline, tbut it's unfortunate that it had to come to this.
Teniel 04-26-05, - 09:17 PM Well I knew race had to come into it sooner or later. If that child had been white I doubt many people would have cared, and may in fact have applauded the police's actions. From that tape, I saw a little girl who was being rude and out of order despite the fact that none of the teachers were physically trying to subdue her. And oh yeah she happened to be black. Hopefully she wont end up in a police car at the age of 17 years old, because then they can actually shift her off to a jail cell. This situation is simply sufficient enough to scare the rudeness out of her.
