I visited their site already, they have some good information. However, I think persons need to do some research on their own, and visit the website of AES the company actually planning on developing the LNG receiving and regassificationplant.
www.aesoceanlng.com
You know, there are real dangers affiliated with this development, and facts are not fully being disclosed by AES, or other parties involved. One thing I find amusing is that AES states that in the event of a leakage, the LNG would vaporize and dissipate. In fact, it is known that they actually form vapor clouds that can drift for miles until it is ignited. (For a visualization of what I mean, think of turning on a stove but it doesn't light automatically, the gas continues to release until it spreads throughout the house, and you light a match to light your cigarette...........BOOM) This is similar to what is possible.
LNG once reheated, turns back into natural gas, which is easily ignited, and extremely flammable. It doesn't just vaporize as most would be blinded into believing. :gi:
Anyway, it seems like there's nothing that can be done about it now. What should have been done is a referendum should be held to let the people decide after doing their own research. It doesn't seem that it will be the case though.
Oh well... :sarcastic
