Children in public schools in the states dont pay a registration fee.

Because a parent cannot afford a 90.00 reg fee, that doesnt make them a bad parent at all.

How can some of these parents home school thier kids when they have to work a 9-5 job?
Then on top of that if they cant afford a 90.00 reg fee do you think they can pay for home schooling?
They are better off working to keep food on the table and keeping a close eye on thier kids, such as visiting with teachers and making sure thier homework is done etc
i thought social services wud take the kids from them iffen dey cant afford to raise da kids?
Are there adoption agencies they cud turn the kids over right after pregnancy?
too many poor peoples in dis place fer real, an too many kids beggin.

parents ought not to be asked to pay a registration fee to a public school, one in which they have contributed significant tax dollars to fund.

Im sorry I dont think it has anything to do with affording to take care of them in some cases.

I know a lady whose child is attending grade 7 and she got him ready for school (keep in mind she had ONE child) with what little she gets paid and it isnt much but she says "she makes end meet"

Then on top of that she had has to pay $90.00 reg fee....which she doesnt have right now, does this mean she cannot afford to take care of her child and social services has to step in.

I personally think she is TRYING...........

In some cases NOT all.

I stand by what I say!!!!!!!

Because a mother cannot pay a 90.00 reg fee, that doesnt make her a bad parent at all................

Im referring to those who are trying to make ends meet, not those who are lazy and dont give a dam!

Ok i agree, ferget the $90 registration fee for now, what about dem being able to afford to put tree decent meals on da table (and not juz a can a macaroni, pasta, or fries) and a bed to sleep in (not sharin wid 10 udder kids)?

Afford?

If I was in a situation where I couldnt pay a 90.00 reg fee and someone called me a bad parent or said I shouldnt have kids cause I cant afford to take care of them, i would slap the **** out of them! (and yes I said that)

YOU must realize there is a different between a parent that is working and trying and stopped at 1-2 kids then there is a parent who is lazy and not working and having kids every 2 years......BIG DIFF

Take Care Im Out

still luv ya with ya crazy self

I honestly think anyone could hustle $90 if it was truly needed. and honestly, if the school needs it, as a registration fee, i dont think that it's too much. I must tell you, my parents took out loans, all that good stuff, to put my sister and I through St. John's. They felt that a good education (i.e. one that was paid for) was a TOP PRIORITY. We may not have had much, but with the little that we had, they hustled and came up with over $30,000 over a period of 13 years for ME ALONE. and you're telling me that some people can't put together $90 A YEAR?!?!?!?!?!?!

PRIORITIES MAN!!!!

I had to put up 1/2 my pay cheque every week for a month to get my kid ready for school and thats something I just HAD to do.

Now I have to do the same for 2 weeks to get her books.
