They should have thought about the consequences before jumping on the band wagon!

So if they enraged over pay cuts then let them have their pick of punishment
1. Jail Time
2. Push the BTC vehicles to Bay St. and back on a public holiday so we could line the streets and cheer
3. Pay Cut
Bet a pay cut looking good compared to the first two.
Concerned,
You see why that at the next crime meeting I will forward your name for an appointment to the punishment group.:hammer:

Like I say - fire them and let people who really wan work, work.

This reminded me of Dairymaid in Freeport. The workers there decided to go on strike. The owner flew in from Nassau and announced that he was packing up shop (I'm para-pharsing here) and closing the business. even though the gov cant close Batelco......and I am not suggesting that...just tellin a story:)

One of the workers was interviewed and stated that the guberment should not allow this to happen and they should step in.....that statement was just hilarious to me....the guberment cant tell da man what ta do wid he business.....of course the guberment did nothing...cause there waz nothing they could do.

steps back out this thread..cause I am not home...and I dont have to suffer thru Batelco's inept and non-existent service

Look here, what the govt need to do is fire these stupid, lazy, ungrateful sons of biatches cuz I know plenty people who are desperately seeking work right now and will get down on their knees and scrub a pissy floor if they have to just to feed their children.
You walk ya triflin, politically motivated arse off the man job illegally, block up traffic illegally using company vehicles without authorisation, etc and nothing is supposed to happen to you?
Bahamians are sickening man. I'm telling you these wutless people need to take a trip throughout this region and let their big eyes get opened up about how the rest of the world lives.

This is one of the many problems with these unions in this country. The worst public officers enjoy the biggest amount of comfort and protection from these unions.

If they learned anything, they would just take they paycut and leave it at that. If another strike results because they got a paycut for illegally removing vehicles, I say fire them all, and attempt to prosecute the ones driving the vehicles with theft. Yet them spend some time in Fox Hell!!, It will be a rude awakening for the Bahamas, which is much needed. Too many of our people don't realize that in a globalized marketplace you cannot do **** and get away with it.
Besides I think the vast majority of the public is with the govt. on this one.

this FNM government don't have the ballz. It took them 3 months of talk before monies are actually deducted. Man I had already forgotten about the Bay Street incident. Justice need to be swift. The union needs to be sued.

Sure they have the ballz. The trouble is that most of the workers would be retired before it happened.
