You do realize that you are contradicting yourself right, WITHIN THE FRAM OF THE LAW, did you see the strike on the news, were you there to witness it like myself on Bay Street. WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS THAT ANYONE IN FUTURE WHO WANTS TO BREAK ANY AND ALL OF THE TRAFFIC LAWS WHO ARE HAULED BEFORE THE TRAFFIC COURT CAN TELL THE MAGISTRATE/JUDGE THAT THEY CANNOT BE CHARGED AND ALL OF THERE CASES SHOULD BE NULL AND VOID BECAUSE OF THE FACT THEY "THEY WERE ON STRIKE", WHAT KIND OF FOOLISHNESS IS THAT.
EVERY TRAFFIC LAW WAS BROKEN, IF YOU WERE TO DO THE EXACT SAME THING BY YOURSELF OR EVEN WITH YOUR CREW OF PERSONS BREAKING THE TRAFFIC LAWS AND INCONVENIENCING EVERY PERSON WHO HAS THE SAME RIGHT TO DRIVE ON THE ROAD, WOULDNT YOU BE HAULED OFF TO TRAFFIC COURT TO PAY A FINE OR FACE IMPRISONMENT, WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO DISTRACT OTHERS EXCLUDING MYSELF FROM THE FACT THAT THESE 500 + HUNDRED CRIMINALS BROKE THE TRAFFIC LAWS IN THIS COUNTRY.
WHO DOES NOT KNOW THAT THE PURPOSE OF UNIONS IS MONEY, IF THEY WERE SO CONCERNED ABOUT THE RIGHTS OF PEOPLE WHY ARE THEY STILL CHARGING 10 A WEEK TO PEOPLE WHO ARE ONLY WORKING ONE DAY?
WHAT RESPONSIBLE UNION LEADER WOULD FORCE PEOPLE TO USE MY TAX PAYING VEHICLES AND GAS TO CONDUCT THEIR PERSONAL AGENDAS AND SHUT DOWN THE ROAD I PAY LICENCE FEES FOR, GO PROSTEST AT THE HOA OR AT THE PM HOUSE OR THE BTC LEADERS HOUSE BUT STAY OFF THE MAIN ROAD WHAT I HAVE TO DRIVE ON AND STOP USING THE GAS I HAVE TO PAY FOR TO BREAK THE LAW.
THE LAW BEING BROKEN IS MY ISSUE AND NOBODY IS BEING PUNISHED FOR IT, INFACT BASED ON YOUR POST, IT SEEMS THAT YOU MAY BE ONE OF THOSE WHO BROKE THE LAW AND IF SO, YOU TOO SHOULD BE FINED OR IMPRISONED FOR BREAKING THE TRAFFIC LAWS WHETHER IT BE ON BAY STREET OR ANYWHERE IN THIS COUNTRY.
aNYONE WHO BREAKS THE LAW REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEIR PURPOSE IS, SHOULD BE FINED AND/OR IMPRISONED LIKE ANDREW THOMPSON AND STOP FINDING EXCUSES TO DEFEND BREAKING THE TRAFFIC LAWS OR ANY LAW OF THIS COUNTRY.Unions protest & block traffic all the time, so why now you want the traffic laws to take affect now in this case? I remember time after time i was inconvience because of unions protest, either blocking up traffic downtown or some other part of the Island.

VALID POINT BUT STILL, WHEN YOU BREAK THE LAW, YOU ARE CHARGED AND JUST BECAUSE IT HAPPENED FOR SO MANY YEARS, THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT RIGHT, AND WORSE OFF ALL, THEY USED MY AND YOUR TAX PAYING MONEY, MY TAX PAYING VEHICLES AND MY TAX PAYING GAS, WHETHER IT HAPPENED A FEW WEEKS AGO OR YEARS AGO BUT THE PAST IS THE PAST, THIS IS THE STRIKE i AM CONCERNED WITH BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT, IF AN EXAMPLE IS NOT SET NOW, THIS WILL CONTINUE TO HAPPEN OVER AND OVER AND THEN WHAT?

IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR JOB OR LIKE HOW THINGS ARE THEN ROLL OUT, YOU KNOW HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE WOULD LOVE THOSE POSITIONS?

BREAK THE LAW (INFACT EVERYBODY DOES HAVE AN EXCUSE TO BREAK THE LAW) WHETHER IT BE YOU ROBBING ME TO FEED YOUR CHILDREN OR TEEFING CELL PHONE CARDS TO RUN YOUR OWN BUSINESS, OR HOLDING UP TRAFFIC, WHEN YOU BREAK THE LAW, YOU PAY THE PRICE, SIMPLE.....

Thank God your not the leader of this country. Unions have legitimate rights in this country to represent their members, In some cases if not for the unions, Bahamian workers would be walk on all over from some of these employers. I support the unions as long as they conduct their afairs within the fram of the laws.

And they have legitimate ways tp call and execute a srtike. This was a wild-cat strike ... in fact the union is careful not to refer to their actions as a strike. They know it was illegal. Additionally they used vehicles of the company without permission, in a manner which contravened the law and exposed the company to possible civil and criminal penalties. These illegalities have nothing to do with representing workers.:hammer:
