LadyA 06-06-05, - 05:44 PM Hey Vicky,
One last comment or question which ever way one see's it.
After Rory's countless efforts on trying to determine if you are gay or lez or what ever and you responding with no ( to shorten it ) why are you one of the founders of the Rainbow Alliance in The Bahamas ?
Isnt that a group for gays ?
Why not be the founder of a group that assists with your needs not saying you should not be a member or one of the founders of the rainbow alliance group.
If I was a member of The Rainbow Alliance Group I guess people would think im gay correct ?

It's a group for anyone who needs either support, or would like to seek a better understanding of the glbt community.
If I was a member of The Rainbow Alliance Group I guess people would think im gay correct ?
Not necessarily. Most gay support groups include (and welcome) members of all sexual orientations, gay, straight, bisexual, or transgendered.

Rory just like to ster the pot. I have a good smile at some of his posts. I feel he was toying with me in these last few posts.

The Rainbow Alliance is for all people that believe in equality for all human beings. We have str8 members. Its just your and many others lack of knowledge of the group that makes you think its a gay group. Right now our primary focus are glbt issues. We have been around helping othere here and there.
Why not be the founder of a group that assists with your needs not saying you should not be a member or one of the founders of the rainbow alliance group.
There is strengh in numbers. Transgender are visably different so we are the ones mostly picked on for random bashing.
I had to educate many of the members on transgender issues. Most did know know what transgender was because the only transgender they were exposed to were drag queens.
FYI most gay males don't like to hang around TGs mtof :
thinking they will be read as gay.
because a gay male is looking for a man not a woman.
Most lesbians don't want TGs mtof around
because we are not women with vaginas.
Str8s don't want TGs mtof around because they think we are gay.
If I was a member of The Rainbow Alliance Group I guess people would think im gay correct ?
Sadly in our little peice of this earth this is true. However you are welcome to join and lets educate them.

You are welcome to join to.
We have 2 simple rules.
1 treat every one with dignity and respect.
2 you never talk about the identity of the people you meet thru the Alliance.

An Alliance means that I agree with everything you stand for, WHICH I dn't.

Hey thats cool you know not everyone thinks humans beings should be treated equaly under the law and socialy. Just look at the KKK, The Nazis, slavery and so on through out history.
LadyA 06-07-05, - 09:29 AM Ok, that answers that, thanks

Hey ya know what I never thought Transgenered fit into anything "rainbow" cause when ever I watch "protests" or "rallies" of some sort on T.V pertaining to gays I never really head anyone speak of transgenered ( feeling me ? ) it was always lesbians, gays or bi-sexual's speaking out ( feeling me ? )
Rainbow to me means Lesbains, Gays and bi-sexuals & equal right for all. But now I know better.

Well, it would be foolish of me to say that there isn't a fair amount of prejudice even within the gay community. There are many gays and lesbians who feel that transgendered people don't have a valid argument to support their cause, but considering we're all in the same kinda boat (with respect to validity), it's not for me to judge. But there is a growing interest in the topic of transgendered individuals (I've seen shows on TLC about transsexuals and crossdressers) so it would appear that their voice is slowly strengthening.
