Exuma becoming "second city" is a bit of a reach, but money is flowing through that place like water - Believe that. If you dont have your property over there yet, it's almost too late.
Money has always been there, ( drug money :shhh: )

Exuma, being another city island is probably another 30 years down the road if development does go further than the four seasons. It would probably be a good time to create a hub for the southern Bahamas. If you picture the island with a large ferry terminal and airport with fast ferries connecting the south including the Turks and Caicos, it could have the potential of being another diversified commercial center. If things are done differently, Exuma does not have to end up with crime and the other social issues with a city.
Well as for Freeport, I wouldn't say the majority is in a bad condition, more the majority outside of the city of Freeport, where less attention is shown, and people are waiting for something to be done for them, esspecially east Grand Bahama. As for the movie production studio for the east and some other development for the west( i guess they are "anchor projects") we will see if that ever happens (or finishes!)

in a way all this development is very sad. i hope the gov relises that many visitors to the bahamas would love to be in a crime free, slow paced enviroment like exuma. i hope they leave at least two of the main islands natural with just a few bed and breakfast. i have heard many visitors say Nassau is too "cityfied" and "touristy". and they want an experiance they cant get at home.

I agree with you, The gov wants to put a staple project on every island. While i agree with this i do belive in over development. People do want to come here for an island experience. On labour day i went to Andros to escape the city for the weekend and i sat on an unpopulated beach for a few hours with some friends and it very relaxing.
NO HOTEL CAN OFFER THAT LEVEL OF RELAXIATION. :walk:
