Abiskan Moon-Angel 11-12-05, - 07:54 AM yep, but at least we dont get killed for it (at least not by the government) like in Cuba, Sadaams Iraq, etc.. and unless they are talking about killing people or setting off bombs, then they wont get arrested .. those laws always were in place, its called conspiracy to commit murder. .they just changed it a lil bit .. anyway, so how about the weather .. windy down here .. :-)
uh...were you trying to funny about the weather? cuz its sh!t man! cold, rainy (though not now) and GREY. not to mention pitch blcak at 4! the older i get, the less i can deal with bad weather! cant wait to come home for xmas!!!
casualobserver 11-12-05, - 12:25 PM hmmm debatable. you can get deported for it here. and arrested for it in the states.
Free to speak one's mind does not mean freedom to incite violence or murder. Freedom of speech does not protect you from conspiring to commit a crime.
Freedom of speach allows you to complain about this or that, suggest changes in public policy, critisize government, etc. You still have to stay within the law though.

Yeah, her son joined the forces, he made his choice, its not a football camp, its training to kill, and be killed.

arested for speaking your mind in the states!!!!!? the only way you can be arrested for that here is terroristic threatning ie I hate so and so, so I will kill them. u can parade around sayin I hate so and so all day and no one can arrest you.
n e way this is a fine line between freedom and choas.
ror was reffering to those places where you have to pray X amount a times a day or be presecuted, live this way or b killed, vik posted this thing about two teens killed in some country for having gay sex or being gay i cant remeber. n e way in this part of the world the gov can not do such things.

diarra 05-08-06, - 01:34 PM sounds like communism to me, they own the power company too?
is solar power banned too?
If I'm correct solar power isn't banned but permission (fees i guess) is required from BATELCO. Plus the materials needed and maintenance of such components sort of makes it too expensive when compared to the Public utilities.
Marco Bridgewater 05-14-06, - 03:05 AM I am a network engineer in the US.
I support an infastructure that requires connectivity to Russia & India for certain job roles we outsource.
What I cannot fathom is why US companies are outsourcing call center operations for customer service, directory assistance, and technical support to India, and why they wouldnt use resources much closer to home by building and using facilities in the Bahamas?
Can anyone answer this question?
Why wouldn't I want to build an operations center providing well paying jobs new technology to a country that seems like a huge untapped resource?
Everybody speaks English and I have to train whomever I employ anyway,
and it appears to me that there is a need for jobs and technology that would be better appreciated than it is here in the US and abroad.
What prevents me from doing this?
It seems like a win win for the people, the government, and me!
We don't have AT&T that's why :shhh:

Unfortunately, it is common knowledge that these things are also done (but behind the scenes) in America. Like tapping people's lines, an unfortunate accident (that results in death) for activists, falsifying documents and presenting false evidence as just reason for arresting someone or starting a war, etc. Only some of them ever go public – usually because of a leak!
Europe is the same way... (I could insert some links here,, but I decline ;))
