How did the church get in this ? Giving to the church and taking care of your children are 2 different things. But ya know what good point Vicky but I am NOT about to give to THE MOTHER especially If I dont know her that well, giving to the mother's of my God children is different for I know they will do right by the money I give them.

Has anyone come in contact with a lady approx 23-26 that comes around asking for help, saying that her house burned down ?? ( she also indicates her name and indicates it was on the news )

That is an old scam! There is a lady, about 50 years old, that works my street using the same scam. She also has two kids with her - claims they are here grandchildren.

Well, she surelly is getting around for a "scammer" she has visited The East, The Downtown Area and even hit up people on Paradise Island.

I think I know the lady you speak of she is a short lady and I over heard a man tell her when she was down town with the kids ( 2 ) to take them children home to thier mothers.

ladyA, you are right. i believe that giving willie nillie to these types of people only encourages them to do stupidness. actually becuase of all the enabaling going on in our society these people go and have more babies. of course if i could have a baby and my mummy is going to take care of it, i will just have another one. these young so called parents need to feel the pains of being a un prepared parent, thats the only way they will wake up

Dear Vicky, I have read several of your post. What every your problem is with the church, you need to goto your maker and ask for a forgiven heart and peace with the church. You seem to put the church into everything and in a negative light. The church will never be perfect because of man, but it is still a place of peace.

Now onto the church, No the church is there to just give out hand out. If this young lady needs help then, she also need gudiance in handle money, education on sex, job training to support her own, even parenting classes. How many times do you expect the church to give to her or any other person needing help out of not using common sense. Then the church and anyone else that help will enable her to stand up to take responsibility for her doing. We all make mistakes but we have to be responsible also.

Why do single mothers have more children than they can feed ?

This is not a post to stir up trouble or anger any single mother out thier BUT more to try and figure out why ? A single mother of 24-25 what in the world is she doing with 4 children and has no steady boyfriend or husband ? And the thing is she probally makes min wages !

This really bugs me and I might as well say it pisses me off.

I know thier are women out thier who hold down they own by working and taking care of thier kids without the support of the kids fathers etc, then arises my question if a woman is struggling with 2-3 kids right why have 1 more to add to the struggle ?

I know a lady who is under 30 for sure and she allready has 4 kids and I just saw her and heard ALL her complaints on how she ga feed this baby she loaded down with now and how sometimes her other kids dont go to school cause she aint got no lunch for them etc, my heart was crushed and at the same time I was upset ( feeling me ? )

Dont get me wrong if ya have the support of a husband or a dedicated boyfriend or even if you have a GOOD job and the kids can be supported properley then why the hell not have as many as ya want !

I asked the same thing of all those women suffering in those third world countries with their many children. and the answer I got was that it was the education factor.(but we are third world :what: )

How did the church get in this ? since when is a single mother that has made mistakes less a family than one with a dad? Is not the church (the group of people) responsible to treat others as they them selves would want to be treated??? If anyone in the church (the group of people) were in that single mothers position they would want someone to help them. Yes or no??????????????????????????????????????????????

Thats right you would give your money so the pastors can drive around in nice cars while this mothers children have no shoes. You would give your money so church buildings can be built with locks on the doors while some mothers child sleeps on the street.

Vicky you obvioulsy have serious issues with the Christian Church , which is why you feel the need to blame them for everything from the rain flooding out Pinewood to pregnant single mothers on our streets (sarcasm). Please, use some rational in you responses, and think for a minute before throwing the hatchet at the church.


The church is no way perfect, but they cant be held responsible for the stupid choices people make in their lives, and neither must they always bear the brunt of these choices. Sometimes, yes sometimes, we all have to take responsibilty for our own actions and our own choices in life, and stop passing the buck. Which is the reason many people cant take a handle of their lives, because they always blaming someone else.

The church feeding a single mother and her child barely scrapes the surface of the issue of single parent homes, fatherless or motherless children, and deadbeat parents. It is in fact more complex, and to put that burden entirely on the church is not fair, when most of us are free thinking individuals that make our own choices regardless of what the church says or does. It is in fact society's problem.

Like I said before parents take responsibility for the children that you bring into this world. When you lie down be man and woman enough to carry the burden that comes up with you. That is what being a responsible adult is all about. The business of the church is not to take in and pamper every single mother who as five kids for five different men, their business is in fact to steer then from that type of situation to help these women including the men to make the right choices when it comes to their future.

Yes them to do you know how much food is wasted just because it is not up to standard appearance. Not to mention Hotels and cruise ships.

Now here is a great idea. Why don't we from a group to contact these places and see if we can get this food and take it to the poor. It will not be easy but many hands will make light work. Maybe some of the churches would let us use their building as distributions points. I would cross the threshold of a church with a locked door for that in a heart beat. The only thing it will cost is time and some gas and I am sure we can find doners to help with the gas.
