You will never be accepted by religious folks in your present condition. The only way I see acceptance for you happening is if all christians were 'reborn' more tolerant and respectful. And we know dat ain gon happen'.

Hi Truthseeker
Ask the gay bishop if I am accepted in his Church. I don’t blame the religion for the social ills and the resistance to advancement. But I blame those that abuse the religion to gain power and wealth. Form the first Pope on down.
Like I say how many times did the cure for cancer go up in smoke as the burned the so-called witches in Christ’s name?

Call it what you will but there is some force that started all of this if it is aware or mindless it’s not up to me. I am on the planet for a very shot time.

we keep trying to put a face on God,and the truth is "God is everything"

nature
human spirit
the animals.....

he is all!!!!

total!!!!!

so if we understand that, then we can understand that God is here, because he is all...something has us here, and something keeps us together...we sprung from something, and if we can stop personifying God and look at the totality of the universe...then we can understand that something holds us together whether we understand it or not!!!

Sorry but i cant help to feel sorry for you, i hope that you really newer think about getting in to science. You know why? with to many people like you we would not need medicine, all we had to do was to believe in the CLOUD GUY.

well i see you use SCIENCE to cloud your reason..when philosophers have been trying to apply reason to science and vice versa!!!
the cloud guy...are you insane!!!

if you can not believe the fact that we came from something then you my friend are in la la land!!
to be so small minded and obtuse to believe in your "human" sole existence is not just crazy...it is foolish!!
science compliments philosophy and religion!

There is no reconciliation between science and religion. Science is based on empirical evidence while religion is based on superstition and faith. It is not in my estimation foolish to believe that humans evolve over many millions of years but it is quite unbelivable and foolhardy to suppose we came into existance through some invisible, non-material supreme spirit being who breathe life into Adam in some perfect garden. Science, in most instances, uplifts and informs us humans whereas religion epects us to believe dogma and superstions without question. I would rather live in la la land if that is where I will find intellectual discourse and relevant information.

there has been an evolution for quite some time now, between science and religion..where have you been!:slap:
you said it yourself, science uplifts the human spirit..and to add to that helps us to understand some of our religious bases!
please try not to understand the story of adam and eve or any biblical story,or account of events as literal!
and that is exactly what i am saying....the literal is not what is intended,it is more or less eye catching to the reader!
that is why you must be open, and intteligent to understand it, and apply it to everyday life!
if you have a problem with the bible accounting events, then you probably will have trouble with anything relavant to history...i know so!
the human and physical and even chemical interactions throughout the bible is endless...it is classic in its understanding the human spirit!

but....if you do not or refuse to beleive everything has a one,and it all came from a one, then you will probably never understand or accept something else beyond your own existence!
now I would rather live in la la land than to live without the understanding of that!

Hi all I would like to add my thoughts and a real experience I had with science and faith.

For me the Creator created science so that we could better understand our selves and the universe we live in.

Now a true story.

Some time ago a dear friend had a baby she is dead now because of faith.

You see during birth she started to bleed badly. The Drs asked her mother if they could give her a blood transfusion to save her life. The mother newly becoming a Jehovah Witness knew if she said yes she would be excommunicated so she said no. Her daughter begged her mother to allow the transfusion and said I am not a Jehovah witness. She begged the Drs. To give her the transfusion. The Drs reply was we have given you an epidural there for you are drugged and not of sound mind your mother is the final say. This woman was 26 years old. That night the Drs did all they could she had just lost too much blood and she died.

The sacredness or the science of blood, Which would you pick if it were your daughter?

We shared the same birthday.

Barbara I still miss you my dear friend and on our birthday I still think of you.

To this day I still have a hate for Jehovah Witness. Oh let me make it clear I hate the faith not the person.

This is not about the church or religious leaders, it is about indidivuals seeking and explanations for natural forces and the deep emotion of fear. All relgions are an attempted to reach our God. The belief in god is simply explained not by religion but by our surroundings, everything is connected from that single cell to the entire earth to the universe. One can logically assume the their is a greater being that we are connected to. Remember all religions are made by man. Therefore is no eveidence behind any, however science does not offer a complete answer to all niether. All religions contain some truth, and religion is not always defined, it is way of life for some individuals their culture."It is better to believe in something than not believe in anything."

"He who sees me everywhere and sees everything in me will not be lost to me and I will not be lost to him" (30)16 Vedas

P.S For All those non believers...... Here Some Science To Back It Up....The Odds Are 3:1 That there is some form of a higher being. :shhh:

I am very rusty in my physics, but doesn't evolution violate the second law of thermodynamics, ie,everything in the universe tends toward disorder because disorder requires the the least amount of energy? Does not evolution suggests movement from disorder to order?

Here is a site to polish your rusty physics and perhaps explain your dilemma
(www.infidels.org) click on library; then modern library; scroll down to topic Science & Religion, click on physics; scroll down to Entropy Explained, (2003) by Richard Carrier click on and read. Good luck!

the fact is that we all evolved from something...
and just how we are told and supposed to hold a high regard for our parents..we should hold i high regard for history at least.

it is only common sense to look at our existence as a part of the greater being.
to think that we ares ole in our existence is absolute rubish, and to think that we spun the web of our own creation is future rubish.
we cant evn make another human with out another human dna?
ten years before that, we couldnt even do it at all!!!

get over your self you scientific mono leveled disbelievers and get with it.

i cant seem to imaging that with all of the knowledge, we can not grasp a concept so in our face!
