police man assaulted by revend and nothing done :realmad:

It is with a sad note and with a mind set to make changes :mad: that I am writing this thread, to being . I am a 14 year veteran of the Royal Bahamas Police Force and have a vast amount of experience in the fields of policing. :taped: all of this I thought was good until I began to understand how some people in this country conduct business under ground. :taped2: about 4 years ago I was ask by my late father to conduct a search on properties that he had in his family. As I began to research I discovered that a Reverend named Prince.A. Hepurn a J.P. and connected to the old ways on Bay Street was the administrator of my family estates, I also dicovered that this man fraudulently and intentionally took all of my families estates for his own personal usage. As word got out that I was conducting research on my families estates I found my life in constant fear and danger. :sparky: Because Prince Hepburn did not want me to find out about my family estates I was constantly harassed and threaten by his family that if I knew what is best for me I would not dig into my familytree. As a result of this threat I made numerous compliants to the police and nothing was done, it had gotten so bad that I was soon being transfered from one station to the next and not knowing why( later I found out that persons within the high rank of the police force were making my life hard bcause of Mr Hepburn). I almost lost my life because of the amount of pressure that I countered trying to research my family tree. I went to the magistrate court to bound him over the peace and on 25 April I went before Magistrate Gomez, I also started a supreme court action against him to stop him from collecting rent from my families estates . all of this was done but it seems that because he was connnected he is still doing the same collecting rent and still harassing me after puttting him in court. :sparky: To make matters worse on Monday the 6 June 2005 at about 11:40 am I was at one of my properties and saw whhen Mr. HEPBURN came along with his son Hector Hepburn and just started to argue with an old lady on the property. I then went to the old lady ignoring them and was suddenly attacked by Prince Hepburn and his son HECTOR HPBURN. WHEREAS HECTOR HEPBURN GRABBED ME AND BEGAN TO PUNCH ME IN MY STOMACH SEVERAL TIMES, THREATING TO KILL ME.whiles Prince Hepburn made his threats "get the hell of before I let my son deal with you"
After seeing what had happened to me, I then became afraid and called for police asssistance, all of this was happening will Reverend Prince Hepburn continued to threaten my life[/B I left and ran to southern division to make a compliant and to lock him up while at the station I spoke to the offficers in charge and they brought him to the station. while at the station Prince Hepburn and his son was rushed up stairs to the [B]ASP OFFICE and I over heard
the conversation whereas the ASP was telling them (between me and you , go to compliants office and tell them he was threating you) as a result I then became upset and they were aware I was outside, when this was done they were rushed out and released without any matter being taken. I told the ASP [I]THAT THEY WERE UNDER ARREST AND WROTE MY REPORT, TO THIS DAY NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AND I HAVE NOT RECEIEVED ANY INFORMATION
(IF I HAD DONE ANY WRONG I WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED MY FAITH) I WROTE LETTERS TO LET THE MINISTERS KNOW OF MY SITUATION AND NOTHING IS DONE. I AM IN FEAR FOR MY LIFE AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO

I dont know if they call this sound advice but here goes...

Is this the same man from bain town who does the summer camps in eleuthera . If so, I thought he been dead, for your sake.

Im usually the kind of person to turn a blind eye to police in their time of need, seeing how some of you all victmize, mistreat and disrupt the general public so...But I really feel for you, the nerve of some of these unscrupulous Bahamians- this needs to stop.

Do you have a lawyer- if you dont get one- a good one with the same PLP clout and connections as the Hepburn people- fight fire with fire (and have extra kerosene to finish them of). If you do have a lawyer get another one- your attorney is not on the job and he is probably scared or its a conflict of interest for him. Dont give up, stand your ground- and make sure this man is brought to justice. enough is enough.

Use your MP for something go to their office and let them know whats up- make them work for your vote in 2007- at least this will be one time when they earned a vote.


More than anything you are a man, I take it. They didnt respect you at all because they put their hands on you. Dont give up hope. Its about respect and principle and dear sir, they have no respect for you or your family it has to be a collective fight coming from all the "mcphee clan". The Rev is taking food out of your mouth and money out of your pocket because he is earning income from something your family has worked hard for.That within itself is enough to warrant a Royal Bahamian cut arse- but again that just me talking and I's woman. Not that I advocate violence and all but some people need to be taught a lesson and they don understand things no other way. Quietly, you should have had a gun with you (self defense- teach them a lesson).
The law is on your side even if you feel otherwise take your case to the media. You have a vested interest in that property dont allow anyone to trample over your manhood your children are watching. and they learn what they live- who wants to say "my daddy was a soft sissy pushover who couldnt stand up to a "man of the cloth" Set an example for your children if noone at all. God know who else they done pulled this charade on, set an example for other Bahamians as well. Youll be amazed.


and go to his church take the fight to their side of the fence and let his parishioners know what kind of leader? they have. Wear your uniform, picket and hold a sign up in the front of their place of worship to send a message: You are not the one to be falked with (note in those exact words).

We live in a democracy why should you have a problem exercising your rights? I mean you are a police officer. :dunce: That doesnt stand for anything? let them know you are not the one to be falked with and let them know that they can continue to play if they want to. They are wrong and you and your family are not gonna stand for this foolshness anymore.

But I am not entirely shocked about it...i dont know the reverend, but i happen to know one of his sons (not hector) and i would say that the son i do know is not that much of a nice person "to say the very least"...

but, you were assaulted and you should press charges.....
If your life is in danger...presss full charges, and get a good lawyer to get to the bottom of this...you may need to invest your life savings into this, but if you feel strongly that you will win in the end and win big....Go for it!!!!

well put madam :angel: and i agree with you totally but in this society there are the way we think things should be done, and the underground way of doing things. as much as i love being a police there are certain clicks that operate and when this is the case it is hard for justice to pervail and with this matter it is deeper than you perceive. alot of persons have been wronged in this contry and it seems there is no one to stand up for the people :screw: and when you stand up for your rights you are cast down and treated like a criminal, :what: even worse because of certain connection you can not touch what is considered the untouchable. :footmouth (we say no one is above the law but in reality that is not so). you look more carefuly and seee what is being said (i am in the system imagine those out) :confused:

Hmmm, not knowing the exact details, who is right or who is wrong, if it is your land or not, or what you say they did is true or not .. anyway, what i would do if it was all true what you say ..

Make their life a misery, follow them and give them a ticket for everything they do wrong, like no turning signal, going over the speed limit, going through the red light, missing break lights, cutting in front of people, i mean they live in nassau so im sure they do these every day, give them some tickets.

But first, put a camera in the car, and use wireless audio to record the entire conversation. If they attack you you are a police and that is well, i dont know what it is here but attacking a police in other countries normally is a greater offence than attacking another civilian, either way it is attempted murder even if they are just using their hands. Then you have every legal right to arrest them, and its on camera. The camera doesnt lie.

Harrassement you ask? Nope, your a cop, you are doing your job, you saw a violation and turned the camera on, followed and pursued. If more cops did this we may have less bad drivers on the road and less congestion :-)

Also, get a digital camera, better yet, get a hidden body camera, dont go further from your vehicle than the range, 1000' line of sight (doesnt include walls with alot of steel or AC ducts etc, and cell phones or cordless phones can disrupt the signal at 900mhz/1Ghz). The recorder will stay in your car, camera transmitter runs on a battery.

You can even post messages in the papers, it costs but if you want to get a more local word out, then place an add with a message in it - a shorter version what you wrote above.

Flyers, put them up everywhere, everyone else does about less important things. Put them up and the suspects place of business.

Maybe before doing all that, hire a PI to conduct an investigation in the goings of the suspect, maybe they have some cobwebs in their closet?

Course this is all how to protect and beat them at their game, but when it comes to land, hire some other lawyers, not one, but 2, and bring in an outside lawyar if you must. There is a place here, cant remember the name, but they have lawyers that work for free ... i used them in a loan case.

Dam man i just read your post and i am wondering if you are really a memeber of the police force and if you are then where were you for the past 14 years. Your exp in the job by now should tell you that the boys on the top look out for people they can get something from. The only bit of adice i can offer is the same as Tia get a lawyer and let him go to the station and find out the status of your compliant and make them keep on it. If you do go to the tabliods with this make sure you have it well documented, Lastly have your spoke to Bradley Sands at the staff association he should be able to help you out greatly. Off course you are commiting suicide at work but i think it is a cause worth fighting for. :screw:

It's time to stop whining and take action. If you are indeed an officer and one with the years of experience that you say you have, then it is ridiculous that you would roll over and play dead for this Rev and his family.

If you do have a case then you need to contact a Real Estate lawyer who is not intimidated by the system, the government or the police. I would like to suggest Sean Hanna of A.D. Hanna and Co. He has been in the system long enough to know the ins and outs, and with his family connection is not intimidated by anyone. I have followed with interest a case where he took on the Government and the Central Bank on behalf of his clients and won. Give him a call and let him complete your title searches and take the matter to court.

In the meantime......with regard to the "crooked cops"....you and I both know that there is now a corruption unit in place to deal with these types of matters and as has been seen in recent cases of police being charged and tried for bribery etc....it is functioning. Report the matter to them, and let the ASP explain why your report/statement of assault has not been dealt with.

DO SOMETHING!!!! but stop the whinefest!.... Make your case public by all means so that people are aware and they can point the finger at Rev. McPhee and say "see him there...that's the crook", but while you are making this all public..please take action other than saying poor me...look at what they are doing to me...have they done it to anyone else.
