Education Specialist (Educational Technology: Policy)
The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is seeking an Education Specialist to manage current portfolio and develop new programmes focussed on policy in education technology. Knowledge of development goals and how policy in educational technology can help their achievement in fields such as education, health, agriculture, and governance is essential. COL's current programme includes working with Schoolnets, links with NEPAD and fostering the Virtual University for Small States of the Commonwealth. Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of related international work experience. The position requires proficiency with office technology and a readiness to travel internationally.
This three year initial appointment is renewable for a further term by mutual agreement.
The Person: Citizenship must be of a Commonwealth country, with ability to network across multilateral organizations and with people from different cultural backgrounds. An ability to exercise professional judgement, diplomacy and teamwork, while representing COL's interest internally or externally, is paramount to this role.
