Here is what gets me, and this may sound a bit picky right but why do the commercials here seem so lame. On the radio its some cheesy/corny acting, or some stupid jingle. Then on tv, my goodness do they do those with Powerpoint. Some commercials have existed since I was in the 2nd grade, some of em look like they were done by colour blind, 2nd graders. Few of them I would saw has persuaded me or are what I can call good commercials.

You took some words out of my mouth there! And these are done by "professional graphic artists"...thats scary. They are probably the "veterans" who have no knowledge of todays technology or are just too stubborn to better themselves.Take for instence the "New logo" ZNS has. You mean to tell me 30 years of experience and all you did was change the colour!? I believe most if not all are done by ZNS. That is why we need commercial agencies. Heck..you have places around here that can do a first class job!

quality of ZNS equipment (video and sound) overall .. thats the problem . .. anyone heard of whether they would "allow" a private TV station in this country ..?? I mean we really need a local TV station ... not the joke called ZNS ..

hey off the subject, heard through the grape vine that batelco is hiring a US alien to install cheap crappy OEM cameras at all their places for $2 million (*lets see thats maybe $2000 a camera for a $100 camera, for example) ... not too mention he visits the white lady, thats why he cant work in the uS ... Oh well, noone said Batelco had a brain on there heads !!!

Isn't it a pity that something can't be done about things like this!? Somebody or some bodies need to get it through to some heads that this is bad for us -- too expensive and its depriving locals of much needed jobs!!!

I have a list of at least 12 things I'd like to see done in the Bahamas before I depart this "tent"!

In the case of the commercials, maybe garnello and chancellor can get together, provided they have a flair or talent for that kind of thing, and make a profession out of it. Once they make contact with business houses and show what they can do, it just might lead to something big!

Have you seen the adds for City Market on ZNS-TV? All the food looks gray or green! It is enough to gag a maggot! If I was City Markets, I would complain, bitterly! :hot:

Actually some commercials are done by private companies and you can tell the difference..they are the good ones. Atlantis, Bahamasair, Batelco and some others hire private local companies to do some of their stuff.
I agree that some (most) of the radio commercials are stupid and some insult our intelligence. Some of them I know from by heart because they have been around so long...but you have to blame the company who does not change their commercial not ZNS who is paid to play it.
