If you are telling the GLBT people to get a job and stimulate the economy I would have you know that the majority of us do just that. You may not be aware of it, but a large percentage of the GLBT community are employed and successful. One of them might just be your neighbour.

I'm speaking to the bahamian community at large that we should prioritize. This is not a priority. By the way, one of them is my cousin.

Matthew 11:19 (English Standard Version)

19The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds."

Matthew 11:19 (King James Version)

19The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Here it's is Jesus hung out with us.

Just wanted to say that some of your responses, I agree with. I agree that they were out of order with the gay cruise protest, because I don't think that you win people or change them by ostracising them, but by loving them.

Maybe you ought to research my point about the life expectency of homosexuals.

I agree that we live in a loose society, but should we continue to accept this as the norm or draw the line somewhere?

If we study what is regarded as core morality issues we would discover that conforming to them is really for our own good and protection.
There are certain principles that have their own consequences when violated. If you take a fish out of the safety of water you don't have to kill it, it's already dead. If you decide that, ok I'm not gonna abide by the law of gravity anymore that's an antiquated law, so I'm gonna walk off of a 50 storey building; You may enjoy the glide through the air but you're gonna come to a sudden stop, and that sudden stop is gonna be the problem. Principles don't really care about who you are , what you think or where you come from. If you violate them they will eventually kill you!

First, a fish out of water is not dead. Why? There is a chance, no matter how small it may be, that the fish will get back to the sea. Even with that small bit of hope there is life.

The second part of your argument still eludes me. What principle are you talking about? Call me slow but I need you to be a little more clear. And please don't bring in some story about god, because you and I both know fair and well that more than 50% of the "christians" in the country don't follow the principles of the Bible and I am sure we all can quote the "no sin is greater than another" line.

Simple question, does their rules (when she joined) say anything about no homosexuals or lesbians? Just wondering ..

There is nothing that we have seen.

I really don't see why people always bring God into an issue of sexuality. I really don't see the relevance at all. But on the point of the gay animals, read this.

Ok then so what do you say about the fact that homosexuality have been around since there were humans. In many cultures through out history and now GLBT have been and are honored people.
