Vicky 10-08-05, - 08:34 AM Could it be that you are only listening for a few buzz words. As to the homo agenda, the reason that you hear about them so often is because that is what they want (familiarity breeds contempt).I'm sure you dn't here the other sexual deviants crying discrimination, equality & justice for all.

bahmaboy 10-08-05, - 04:03 PM rory- yeah right, for giggles my foot. LOL
angel- i think there are a few memebers who are embarrassed, i guess cuase it doesnt help this facade they wanna put on that the bahamas has mostly people against homosexuality in the name of christianinty. they can say that people with their views are slowly declining
aaliyah- if the bahamas were to go back to christian or godly principals it should start with shutting down all casino's, then all strip clubs, then all night clubs, then all bars, then a ban on the import of liqour (sorry rory), then a rule that there shall be no work on sundays and that every one must go to church. as you can see these things can and will never work so the bahamas will never move toward chrisitianity.
vicky- lets get this one thing clear masterbation is not sexual deviance. LOL

I ask again what is the HOMO AGENDA??????
laniquedivine 10-09-05, - 02:26 PM I AM SHOCKED ABOUT HOW THE BAHAMAS IS TAKING THIS! WE SUPPOSE TO BE A CHRISTIAN NATION BUT WE ARE GETTING JUST LIKE THE USA!
All of those persons got their opinions its good that you have them! BUT guess what matters , guess WHO matters! GOD, THE BIBLE!!!!!
And i dont like when people take the bible and use it for their good!!
IT IS WRONG TO BE A LESBIAN ITS WRONG TO BE GAY IT WRONG TO COMMIT ADULTREY! so lets stop all this "taking up" for sin! SIN IS SIN!!and this is for all who is sinning!
Please dont come about you cant judge no one!!!!!!!! the bible says by your fruits you should know them! so i dont have to assume that she is sinning! she said it, she showing and she admit it.
LETS GET THIS BAHAMAS BACK TO GODLY PRINCIPLES!
i agree with you that "sin is sin" (dont believe that being gay is wrong though,,,,,,thats another story)
but this forum is about miss teen and the discrimination she encountered as a result of being gay. Its not an attempt to promote any lifestyle or religion
Fact is she was stripped of her crown for being gay. Whether we accept her lifestyle or not what happened was wrong!

And i dont like when people take the bible and use it for their good!! I agree with you people (christians) should not "take the bible and use it for their good!!" Especaly when it comes to finding reasions to outcast people.
Knowing them is one thing outcasting(discrimanating against) them is another. Jesus taught love your neighbor not pick and choose. Jesus taught treat others as you your self want to be treated. so i dont have to assume that she is sinning! she said it, she showing and she admit it.

Whos version of the Creators principles?????
Have you ever seen the movie "Saved" you really need to.
EbonyApollo 04-13-08, - 11:49 PM Das a clear-cut breach of contract case and maybe even a constitutional claim for violation of her right against discrimination (Art 26 Bah Const.) can be disentangled from the breach of contract case to make an additional cause of action. Obviously the pageant committee wrong, da gal wrong too but only in terms of timing, she had a contract, dey breach, dey should be liable. Moreover, in takin her crown dey also potentially violated her constitutional rights. It seems easy peasy to me but the only problem is the social fall out. A discrimination claim is subjective too ya kno. If the judge is a bible-pounding hardcore Christian dey might say well she knew she contracted to represent a Christian nation and Christian principles attached. If there was a breach it arose on her end of the agreement. And in terms of discrimination, she can be put to hard proof of bad faith and if she cant prove dat, her action is out've gas. There's even an additional tier that can be thrown into the pot. The ingenious lawyers could argue she acquiesced (compromised/ruined her own lawsuit) in both claims because she signed the contract and knew that Christian principles applied either explicitly or implicitly. There's a case from Belize she can use to support her case called Wade v Roches. I think it's nonsense but in that case a teacher workin at a Catholic school gets pregnant and dey fire her. A term in her contract say she agrees to conduct herself like Jesus Christ. So she brings a constitutional discrimination action against the Catholic Church and wins like a hundred thousand dollars in damages. Now I think this case is wrongly decided in every which way. The state action doctrine says you can only bring a public law claim against the government because public law operates vertically and not horizontally (ie between citizens and the state and not between citizens and citizens). The woman signed a contract that she would act like Jesus Christ. So, her constitutional claim was knocked out by her common law claim for breach of contract based on the exhaustion of common law remedies rule in public law. Her claim in my mind is also futile based on the doctrines of either 1. acquiescence, AND/OR 2. estoppel, AND/OR or 3. waiver. The same all equally applies to Gari Mcdonald's case. She knew what she was signin onto. Christian principles apply either explicitly or implicitly. Her claim is therefore bound to fail.
