View Full Version : Miss (Lesbian) Teen Bahamas
Vicky 09-02-05, - 10:50 AM Channel 12 early evening news had a full report on this. They had a pretty good interview with the committee, most of whom seem to be upstanding, intelligent, attractive young women. The committee said that they did not consider stripping the young lady of her crown. They spoke extensively on the matter.
They said that the 2 ladies who founded the pagent wanted the pagent to be run on Christian principles. They are now deceased but they were firm in that requirement. They are actually catering to chaste young teens of high moral standards.
According to them the young queen was not following the rules of the pagent. They claimed she has received most of her prizes, and that many of the events she was required to attend she did not attend and did not even give them a reason for not attending!
There were 12 events which the queen should have attended which were sponsered by some of the business houses who were awarding the prizes which she never attended even though she was specifically requested and required to attend. This was one of the reasons she did not receive some of her prizes.
Apparently when they got wind of this sexual orientation business, they wanted to do a private meeting with the queen to deal with the situation in a delicate and tactful manner, but again could not get the co-operation of the queen.
Now please bear in mind that the above has absolutely nothing to do with my views -- It is only what I gathered from watching the channel 12 news.
I have gathered the same thing how ever Gari, her manager and lawyer know other wise.
If it is Miss Christian Teen Bahamas so be it. But it is Miss Teen Bahamas and there is nothing in the rules that says you can't be gay.
If being gay means you have had sex then what does heterosexual mean????
Just because a young lady is attracted to someone of the opposite sex does not mean she has had sex.
Just because a young lady is attracted to someone of the same sex does not mean she has had sex.
Vicky 09-02-05, - 10:51 AM wow, another gay thread .. takes over bahamas issues forum .. :what:
and i did not start it
Vicky 09-02-05, - 10:55 AM i had gay threads, I can't wait untill this one is over...
They have us where they want us again!
You don't have to read it or respond to This thread. There are many other threads.
Vicky 09-02-05, - 11:08 AM You should have told that child point blank NO! when it came to showing her face and giving her name to the media! You have children Vicky, you wouldn't have allow them to do this, even if they pushed the issue that they wanted to. In hindsight you have negoitated longer and harder, and compramise.
Uh she is 19 and there was no stopping her. When we first met she was ready to go all out to the media and international. We told here hold on wait get a lawyer see if you can do this with out a big uproar that could ruin your life.
If she was my child and someone discriminated against her like this I would stand with her same way. I don't believe in discrimination at all.
Vicky 09-02-05, - 11:11 AM We are agreeing on many stances...
yes hyporcrites are evil and Christian Hypocrites are even more evil...And all are classed with the aforementioned list that I gave earlier....I will be more than happy to add more people to the list.
Here is the thing I would not add but remove.
Vicky 09-02-05, - 11:14 AM There ya go! A reasonable explanation...It all makes sense...but of course...the rainbow Alliance took advantage of the opportunity, to fight for their cause...
Plus, in some beauty pagents, after the queen has won, she is no longer allow to have physical relations with her boyfriend...in fact, there are times when the queen must have chaperone with her in order to see her boyfriend. This is in order to not allow scandals to happen...I guess we may have to adopt the same type of principles.
Are you a commity member???
Vicky 09-02-05, - 11:17 AM Because, that is what you guys do, close things down which does not believe in your beliefs.
what do you mean close it down?????
diarra 09-02-05, - 11:20 AM [QUOTE=canewry]
She had been coached by the rainbow Alliance...
Truly they have done this young, innocent girl a disservice.
I totally agree with you. Sadly enough. This type a thing is just upset me. Why does she need to hold a press conference with the Rainbow Alliance.......... Where on God's earth was her parents. I read the articles online and never once heard a response from her parents or family. And i wasn't meaning a response to her being a sissy, but to her position as Miss Teen Bahamas; a role model and representation of all that is positive and uplifting for our young Bahamians.
I do blame the Committee whole heartedly because; if they had these tenants clearly stated in their rules of competition, this foolishness wouldn't of happened. The people of "alternative lifestyles" always lookin for one thing. a platform. And they will use that to cry discrimination till thy Kingdom come.
But my question is, if this type a foolishness is illegal, how they get headquarters in the Bahamas? Oh then i guess they will say its their freedom of speech and stuff!
It's sad how this plague is being spread by grown adults and corrupting young innocent minds in all mediums.
Take da crown back, give her the gifts n tell her ride of into the sunset to sissy no more!
Vicky 09-02-05, - 11:32 AM I agree again, that Rory is a smart a$#%, but I know how the Rainbow Alliance go; Rory too is aware of what you guys plan to do with this new scandal....in fact, the entire Bahamas is aware of it.
Oh yeah thats right you come to our meetings???? What did you think of the rainbow cake????
No the topic right now is one of the founders is going away for a year to continue her education. We are dividing up the work she does which is very important for us she leaves this Sunday. Remember dealing with discrimanation is just another day for us. Please note we only got a breif mention in the media.
Do you think we only come out of the wood work to score brownie points.

thanks for that GD - v. informative and sheds more light into the matter.
Truly they have done this young, innocent girl a diservice.
They catapulted this girl's sexuality to the forefront of the entire nation/world, just so they can promote their agenda. You think she possesses strength; she will need strength: when she goes to school, and everyone knows her business, when she goes to church and everyone knows her name, when she goes to the library and she hears the whispers. She will need strength when her friends parents become concern that she is stalking and corrupting their daughters. She will need strength when her mother friends talk behind her back, critiguing her parental skills...she will need strength when silly men memorize her picture and mimick her on the street... Vicky and his cohorts helped alienate this child...and that is a sin. They have committed the gravest sin of all, the corruption of an innocent child. The Rainbow Coalition is not this child's saviour, but this child's destruction. If they were really concern with her welfare and development, they would have negoiated quietly with the committee, in order to obtain what the child deserves.
CANEWRY - what on God's good EARTH are you talking about??? have you ever stopped to think that maybe this young lady thought through the repercussions of her action carefully? she is 17 for God's sake! When i was her age, i thought i knew everything, and didnt. At the same time, i wasnt stupid. Dont underestimate this girl. She might have done it for a whole host of reasons, but i think she didnt approach the alliance blindly!

Vicky we may agree, but I would go further and say, that is why, it is impossible for the Church to seperate a homosexual from the sin...the supposed sin is what they are. Homosexuals who know that their sexual identity is what they are needs, to seperate themselves from the church, instead of forcing them to rewrite their personal beliefs.
The church has been having to rewrite its beliefs for years this is nothing new. The problem is the church does not tell people to look back at the mistakes the church has made in the past. The church makes people believe they are perfect and infallible.
Vicky 09-02-05, - 11:52 AM lol....If i do ask her that Vicky she would automatically realize that she was never gay, I am sexy as hell...the young child would be all over me....Wow are you full of yourself or what. that is why i don't flirt with children. Besides as a seasoned man, and someone with an alternative lifestyle as yourself, you can look into this child eyes and see that she is going through stuff. That is why you and your group are wrong for this....
Really explain how we are wrong for providing a lawyer and a safe place for her to have the press conference.
Vicky 09-02-05, - 11:57 AM :uh: See this is total foolishness right here & you are either a homosexual yourself or have bought into their agenda. You people keep talking about this agenda please what agenda are you talking about???? Pagents by their very nature are baised.Because you have to be a certain height, weight etc.So all this talk about discrimation is total foolishness.Don't they have the fat girls pagent, why dn't the fags just go ahead & do their own thing. But NOoooooooooooo they would rather try & make you change your standards to conform to them.
Knock knock anyone home.
There was no indication that lesbians were not allowed to enter the pageant. If there was I doubt Gari would have entered.
