hmmm..some people might find this thread boring. if you do - move on. this is to lighten up things a bit. i was listening to a program last night where the host was taking calls re:the best decade of last century. obviously, one's answers will depend on the period during which they can recall their most favourable memories. that said, there is always such a vast amount of reason why, for example, the '60s were better than the 70s'! i thought it would be fun to see people's views, so i thought i start this threat. go ahead, list the best things about your favourite decade and/or the most memorable things you can recall from those years! i was born in the late 70s, so obviously, im all about the 80s. my fave things about the 80sssssssssss:

-(colorful) 'gummy' bracelets (still have some)
-jelly bean shoes (yes your feet stank, but how cool were the blue and pink ones!?)
- MADONNA
- junk chains
- aqua/silver/white/yellow belts/shoes AND bags (unbelievably trendy as fellow fashionistas will tell you: the proof is in their comeback)!
- colourful tights
- Prince (the artist formally known as...)
- Phil Collins
- stone wash jeans (or maybe not)
- the fall of the Berlin Wall
- rubiks cube!
- CABBAGE PATCH KIDS/Barbie's pool & patio set
- skateboards/skates and oooooo GO-Carts!
- slip n' slide
- swing sets (the crap ones you got every xmas)
- MTV (when they USED to play music videos)
- SALT n' PEPPER (and of course DJ Spinderella)
- Care Bears
- Rainbow Brite
- Smurfs
- AND OF COURSE: summer vacation, when it was safe to roam wild in my neighbourhood!
