no dude we should be driving golf carts with a big smile on our face and wearin those colorful shirts.

Don't forget selling coconuts on the side of the street...

....man we need to stop talking fart....The Bahamas is the best little Caribbean/West Indian nation out there.... the big shops and the sophistication makes us unique...the consequences of living so close to the U.S. Inspite being sophisticated, some people still think we live in tatch houses, riding donkies, living on plantations. Working in the tourism industry many a time, I come across guests who are impressed that we have all these high tech living to offer them.

I have visited some of those southern Caribbean States, and I cannot imagine the Bahamas ever being so primitive, or wanting to go back to that state.

mmmm not so sure i agree with you on that one BB..think gun crime, think messed up priorities, think bad weaves + fake nails (sha nay nay - lol)!!

:cop:

that why i said for the most part it is sucessful. like i have said before despite its down falls the BA right now the BA is doing well compared to many other nations who have had soverity longer, bigger in geographical size and population. do you relise the bahamas is probably the only foriegn country where you do not have to worry about american/your countries dollar exchange rate. that says a lot uase you cant even do that in canada and neither can the UK. now wether these luxeries get to continue depends on the nation and its gov.

i am with u canwry. i admit peace and tranquility is nice but after a week i need malls, movies, kfc etc etc. and even though it is true for the most part tourist are looking for a different feel in a destination in the same breath they will teel you they aint tryin to go no where tooo different ie no cable, no internet, no access to american food. also why should you have to live on an islolated island with no activities for you so they could come and enjoy it and then fly back to their sophisticated lifestyles.

where all have u been, i am dying to see the rest of the bahamas and caribbean

Grand Cayman doesn't even want to take US dollars,I believe they only do so because of the cruise ship business.

well as far as i know. the majority of countries around the world dont compare their currency to the caymans. in most 3rd world nations u go in u wont be killed or badly injured for a cayman 100 bill but tape a us 100 to ur back and watch what happens.

Where is the next one?

If Starbucks follow their usual practice we will see two or three more in the Cable beach area, at least two in town. One in Palmdale and a few others scatter around the high traffic areas of Nassau.

I remember the last time I was in the States I stopped into a Starbucks to get a coffee to go. As I came out I noticed another Starbucks across the road!!!! As I walked I drank my coffee. Before I was half finished - there was another Starbucks! How many coffee shops does a city need? I guess as many as the market will support.
