I pick youth because this involves how one is brought up.

here is proof that gender is between your ears and is not something you learn no matter what is between your legs. The second link is the most informative.

Oh just in case you want to know why I bring this up now is because something I saw on TV and some stuff pointed to it that I have been researching as well.

That is the dumbest crap I ever read.

How do you tell a person that the reason you aren't a boy is because you don't have a penis?? But guess what -- you don't have a vagina either. And if we're trying to convince you that what you are is determined by what is between your legs -- wouldn't it be necessary that you have a vagina if we were to convince you that you were a girl??

I didn't bother reading Oprah because Oprah is the anti-christ.

That isn't proof of anything more than his parents were @$$h0Le$ for letting doctors persuade them to perform such an "experiment". That is just plain stupid and another reason why I fear for people in the US. They are so gullable and silly man!
This is upsetting.
And how could they manage to cut off his penis during circumcision?!! Is seems to me that the doctors intentionally did that, so they can proceed with their plans.

say anti-christ! dont kill me!

What was done to this man was very cruel. What kind of people are persuaded to do such a thing, when the person is not even awere to make the choice themeself?

Oh please...come off it and stop slinging mud. His parents, his male and female hetero parents, decided to go along with it. I remember hearing about this case in my genetics class to discuss the nature v. nurture case. If I remember correctly, there was an accident during his circumcision and they cut off too much of his penis. My first instinct would have been lawsuit, but the doctors (who by all reports seem to be hetero) convinced his parents it would be better to take the rest off and let him live as a girl rather than a deformed man. This has nothing to do with GLBT or any other letter of the alphabet at all...

I'm pretty sure that is where they go the idea for the storyline.

IF you say so! Matters make no difference to me,but I see this a dispproving the theroy of being born homosexual. This proves the fact that it's a learned behaviour if any thing, but I guess yall will see it differently.

I already tell y'all...this only proves that his parents were dumb, and the doctors were sick bastards.
That's it...No homosexuality, heterosexuality, or gender issue is involved in this at all...as this is an extremely rare and messed up scenario. :hot:

I swear, you must live in a world all on your own. The little boy was told he was a girl. He was given hormones and therapy, but still knew deep down inside that he was a boy, not a girl.

The same theory can be applied to homosexuality. If you get a boy that is gay and you try to tell him he is straight, no matter how much you tell him that or give him hormones he will still know deep down inside that he likes boys. I don't think I can make this any more clear. What they did perfectly proves nature and NOT nurture.

Why does the discussion of nature vs nurture always seem to involve sexual preference or identity?? There are other issues where this discussion could be meaningful.
