Here's another way to quit that seems a bit overboard, but it worked for a friend.
He bought a entire carton of cigarettes and smoked his way through it until he literally made himself sick. He was missing in action for a few days, but he never touched a cigarette again. Risky, but it worked (for him at least).
well yorick, i remember buying a carton of ciggies when i was coming back to the UK from Egypt...i thought THREE times about it, but figured, ok at 5+ pounds in england...i'd better get them NOW where they cost 70 pence for the same amount. i was embarrased (felt like 'a smoker'), but it worked out to make lots of sense...except i smoked them at the same rate that i used to smoked in egypt, so in a little over one week they were done. then a friend came to visit a few weeks ago from belgium...not that brussels is cheap, but well, well london :what: so i said bring me a PACK of ciggies...he understood a CARTON and thought he would be nice to me, so instead brought TWO CARTONS! so 20 paks later and 40 euros short, im all smoked out. it was blissful at the time, but (thankfully) have made myself sick of the scent...but unfortuately havent rid myself of the cravings...sad thing is, i dont even like it anymore! they taste disgusting, but what is morning coffee without a cigarette...and in fact just writing about this makes me want to go out and buy a pack...a small one..but i wont.
thanks for the encouragement guys.
