2. Encouraging Bahamians who are studying abroad to return after graduation and to encourage investment in jobs for them.
Man you need to give some examples on what we can do...

Medicine. Cuba has a system where people from other countries come to Cuba for medical attention. Why can't we do such a thing? We have a number of Bahamians abroad studying in the medical field. Most will find work in the US or England. I am sure there are Companies abroad that would love to set up business here - little tax, little government interference. However, just an idea but there are many other fields that might be explored.

We did that already...and guess what happened: Illegal stem reseach...cloning babies etc...the big businesses that venture here usually are trying to take advantage of us...

All businesses try to take an advantage wherever they find themselves. The thing is not to let them get away with it.

That would require a brain storming session with government and the private sector. We have students all over the world studying many different subjects. We have engineering students who could be working on building Hurricane proof structures. There are Agriculture students who could return here to help set up a better farming system. We have budding scientists, teachers, doctors, businessmen, you name it and some kid is studying it.
Government and the private sector working together could open doors for these kids - if they really wanted to. They have to realize there is a "Brain Drain" going on here. Our best and brightest are having no trouble finding work overseas but not here. I realize that we can't absorb them all but we could do a lot better than we are doing.

We all know the problem...its the solution I am asking you for...You still did not give any...

That is the solution, for government and the private sector to work together. Of course we would need at least a Prime minister who was a businessman.
If I had all the solutions, I would be Prime Minister! But, as you insist let me give you one idea. Let us say that the government and private sector group is up and working, I will call it the GPS.
Student "A" is studying "X." By all accounts he is doing very well and about to graduate. He has sent out his resume to a number of US companies many are interested. He wants to come back home but he is faced with the problem that local companies want someone with experience. Which is often just a stratagem to say there are no Bahamians for the job, let me hire a foreigner.
Student "A" contacts the GPS. They study his resume and see that there is potential here. They approach their members and push this young student. Maybe the government will offer any company that takes him an incentive for the first year until he has proved himself. It could well be that the businessmen of GPS could come up with many different options that will allow Student "A" to return here and set himself up. They might offer loans or become business partners with him.
All that is just an idea and I am sure it needs work but the thing is we are short of ideas in this country. We seem to be happy with "business as usual." But that is not going to work anymore.

The current leadership has done alot of work, but they are not able to relay this properly to the Bahamain. There is to much talk about "Urban Renewal", every constituency, even the Cable Beach & Lyford Cay MP has put this in effect.

Some Questions to those political Leaders:
What these elections will bring to the people of the Islands? Are the political Leaders honestly know the problems to solve to reduce poverty and increase the social life of these people?

Leadership...that's easy, there is no leadership, no vision, no future...just keep the average Bahamian as uneducated as possible so they can't put two and two together and figure out who the real slave masters are!
Top three issues:
1. Street signs...or the lack there of;
2. Mandatory pet licencing;
3. Litter.
