Bahamas Writer 05-31-03, - 10:17 PM Is anyone else experiencing problems with Cable Bahamas' internet service right now? Fay Delroy 05-31-03, - 10:25 PM I think that they are having DNS problems. I noticed that their DNS Suffix has changed from coralwave.com to cablebahamas.net. I had problems communicating with some sites last night and this morning and today I am frequently getting disconnected. Its a good thing I know how to renew my own IP address. I keep calling and they can never fix the problem and they never return my call! I was talking about local companies, Cable Bahamas, plumbers, electricians and other such business that we the locals have to frequent. Service here is very, very bad. I can count on the fingers of one hand the companies that offer adequate service - fewer still that can be classed as excellent. But there are truck loads that are not worth the salt it would take to pickle them! I am going through a "Plumber Crisis" now. It has taken the guy five days to do a one day job. Perhaps I should have gotten five guys - many they could have done it in one day! Since ive had Coralwave over the past couple years, whenever i had to talk to a tech i have had to go through 7 different people, and the majority of the time I end up telling them what they need to do to fix the problem. in other words the service is terrible. Also, some of their employees give out personal information to friends such as the users name and phone numbers, using their IP address tracked on message boards. This would be the call for a major law suit in the Us or other first world countries. But we dont live in one so we must make do with monopolies and bad or illegal service. sha`bez 09-29-03, - 07:51 AM Ummm... Is cable bahamas the only compnay that u are having trouble with. I'm sure there's another, but because they r private and they are dealing with MAN MADE PRODUCTS that they have to update every so often to keep uptodate in the tech world, u feel they should get hit harder. I've heard many problems about cable but if it wasn't there u would be complaining bout batelco right....think bout it.. Every company system is not completely satisfactory to their customers. Give me one and then i'll call myself a liar. Cable is doing their best.... u have a good day Until....................... |
