I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard Prime Minister Christie describing the transition, taking place in the Free National Movement, as a diabolical injustice to Mr. Tommy Turnquest. This asinine comment was obviously made out of desperation on the part of Mr. Christie to prevent what could become the inevitable – the return of Hubert Alexander Ingraham.

However, since Mr. Christie wants to talk injustice then let’s talk just that – INJUSTICE. When the Government waited until school was opened during the 2005/2006 school year to begin effecting repairs to schools wasn’t that an injustice to young people? Mr. Christie has yet to speak on this issue but he can find the time to mind the business of the Free National Movement.

When the disaster took place with the former Registrar General where she was victimized by a Government Minister to the point of being verbally abused in the House of Parliament the Prime Minister didn’t speak then. Wasn’t that an injustice?

The Government continues to hold out on monies owed to the public servants and the Honorable Minister responsible stays out of the country or simply continues to turn the union around. Funds can be found for him to travel up and down and for the purchase of new vehicles for Government MP’s and their cronies but the Government can’t find the civil servants eighteen hundred dollars that they owe them. However, this is obviously not an injustice or else the Prime Minister would have already spoken on it.

The people in the Straw Market are baking in the heat of the plastic that covers them in the little jammed up corner on Bay Street. The only straw they’re getting is what they purchase; “New” and “Market” doesn’t come with that. This is not an injustice, however, because Christie hasn’t spoken on this unfulfilled promise as yet.

I hope the teachers at H. O. Nash are paying attention. Of course, Mr. Christie is clearly indicating that what took place at your school isn’t worthy of being considered an injustice. He has yet to speak on this issue and I doubt that he ever will. Years of experience plus qualifications equal your former student becoming your boss; so, at least, for one administrator, Injustice is sweet. If you want the promotion get plastic surgery and look “young”.

Let’s talk Injustice, Mr. Christie. The Progressive Liberal Party, by your admission, did take money from Mohammad Harajchi. Although we haven’t confirmed whether it was three million or ten, what we have concluded is that this money was exchanged in lieu of an unspoken promise which was never fulfilled and, eventually, Harajchi got a PLP foot planted in his backside. If this isn’t injustice then I don’t know what is.

Minister after Minister continues to display that they’re nothing more than an embarrassment to the Government in their own way – Cynthia Pratt and the bars on her Constituency Office windows that Harajchi allegedly paid for – and let’s not forget her visit to Fox Hill Prison where she was accused of allegedly hobnobbing with drug dealers; Neville Wisdom and the Junkanoo Bleaches fiasco; Bradley Roberts and the alleged rape scandal; Allyson Maynard Gibson and the Registrar General fiasco; V. Alfred Gray and the Korean Boats scandal; Alfred Sears and the disastrous 2005/2006 School year preparations; Fred Mitchell and the Public Servants’ money – he’s probably using the funds for travel anyway; Vincent Peet and the Western Air disaster and much, much more – and let’s not forget Sidney Stubbs – who isn’t a Minister, thank God. He’s just an embarrassment to the Government PERIOD!!!

But rather than shuffle his cabinet, remove some of these lunatics and end some of the chaos, Prime Minister Christie continues to make, empty philosophical, “chicken dance” speeches while the crackpot gang continues to wreak havoc and terror in their wake. How about that for diabolical injustice?

You want to discuss injustice, Mr. Christie!?! Tommy Turnquest knowingly running the Free National Movement Party into the ground because of his own selfish desires and his ambition to force on the Bahamian people what they don’t want is an injustice. Interestingly enough, Mr. Christie, you weren’t running around ranting and raving “Injustice” when Tommy’s constituents kicked his butt in the last general election. How is it more of an injustice now than it was then?

Diabolical injustice is Tommy Turnquest and the conspiratorial alliance that he, Tennyson Wells and Pierre Dupuch may (or may not) have formed with Perry Christie and the PLP Government to keep them in power while they (Tommy and the Independents) strangle the already beaten, battered and bruised FNM.

In future, Mr. Prime Minister, before you speak of Injustice carefully examine your glass house. The feather you throw might turn to stone and break your glass and that would just be diabolical.

I couldn't have said it better....I suspect that :dunce: Perry is trying to put on a show that he is in good health when he is not.....actually he is only ranting :realmad: and:cheers: raging because he knows he can beat Tommy with little effort...if one was to ride around a do a personal survey, the majority of the Bahamian people don't support having Tommy as the leader of the FNM.....Dupuch and Wells both sour grapes ore only making noise to hear their own selfish ways..Welcome back home Mr Ingraham:cheers: am 100000 percent behind you....by the way did Perry quote from his famous Isaiah memory verse again:shaky:

Its amazing how quick bahamians turn on each other...
listen i ga tell you..if you can not like perry christie..you can not ever like hubert ingraham..
personality wise....

i prefer this dream team..over the ingraham one man band!

now..take it as you will, and christie maybe scared and he has a right to be because ingraham is a popular person, but this will only translate in a few extra seats in parliament!
people have not forgotten the disarray the fnm is in...
and definetly have not forgotten the HUGE mistakes in selling the birth right of the bahamian people under which the fnm disguised as "development"...

I recall Mr. Felix Bethel saying that after the 2002 elections that the cabinet formed by the PM was the best ever..I wonder if he still feels that way? Anyhow, Bahamians are too enamored by degrees and papers and sweet talk. I prefer action and not a bag of mouth.I agree that the PM should comment on other injustices..people have been crying and begging him to address the country on any number of issues but he diss dem.Well, come next election he will be dissed and dusted out!

BTW, didn't the PM half kill BJ Nottage in the battle for the PLP leadership not too long ago? Hypocrisy has no owner.

Agreed I have said this before, the past & present govt. have no idea how to maintain a country. It's all about being in charge & talking BS & the scary thing is Hubert seems to want to come back,he's older but not one inch wiser. Both he & Perry need to ride of into the sunset & let some young people with a vision take a go at this thing.

We will allways go after the foreign investors....this is a staple of our growing economy and any capitalist economy!
But...
We dont have to sell our sovereingty to;
1. International Organizations
2. Foreign powers
3. For an undetermined amount ot time to any expat at a whim or on a fast track type of passing...

The FNM did all of the above....
by (in order)
1. Buckling to the OECD and International Monitoring agencies (U.S. beurocrats)
2. U.S. and British imposition of "threatened" sanctions behind the OECD and IMF...(which we were the only jurisdiction to sell out btw)
3. The failed refferendum of 2001 and the Immovable properties act of 1996...

And you mean to tell me there isnt a difference in government policies in the FNM and PLP??:uh: :uh: :uh:
Look at BARMAR....they have a LEASE!!!
allbeit a very long lease...but it isnt SOLD OUT forever...(which the immovable properties act and the failed refferendum would have made sure that is was SOLD OUT forever!)

With that "lease"...it makes it easy for us to revoke it at a notice and claim national security interests (without the Foreign bodies getting involved) and it gives us the options to make some money off of a LEASED LAND!!!

firstly I have to state that as far as my opinion of the gov't neither party is any good for the country - they are both made up of persons that have switched back and forth between the parties as the affiliation suited their present needs.
But as far as selling out to foreigners the fnm did not give away as much nearly as fast as the plp has. Their are also examples of some developers waiting for the switch to fnm or plp so that they could get the permissions appoved because the prior gov't would not approve. Both gov'ts have made the same mistakes exemplifing their lack of concern for the bahamian people in their 4 year dash to make as much money for themselves and their peeps as they can.

This total foolishness you are talking,90% of the property sold to expats happened under the FNM's watch. The difference between what they did is that the present govt is at least trying to develop the family islands.I'll give them & A- for this effort even doe I feel that they are going about this the wrong way.

Marichal bahamians couldn't afford the property so they had to sell to foreigners as well lyford cay, cat cay, treasure cay, crystal palace, Paralysed Island, Freeport are all examples of one gov't selling our land and Bimini, exuma, and reselling Paralysed Island are examples of the other gov't
my point is that either gov't is as bad and occasionally as good as the other I know for a fact that votes in abaco are usually decided the night before elections during trips around the island dolling out dollars not by gov't providing education for bahamians so that they can have the ability to think and decide what is right for them and their families and not what is going to pay the bills for the next month and leave them sitting in the same spot trying to figure out where next months money is going to come from.

If you say so, but we all know that the only reason that this is so is because of what they did (the immovable properties act).FYI: only on govt sold PI & all of the west bay hotels. Lyford cay I believe was before we were & independant nation.
