Talking about "shooting the messenger" What did this guy do? What was his crime? Why was he suspended too? If he was at waterloo filming that stabbing they would have called him a hero...but at Prince Williams....its the opposite!! When I was in highschool, bringing electronic devices of any kind on the school campus was prohibited. During those days, pagers and beepers was the big tech thing among students, and many times they were confiscated. Today its camera phones. They can serve as big distractions, particularly if they are ringing during class. If the rules say no cell/camera phones, then the school has every right to confiscate it for the entire school day, and give it back to the student at the end of the day. If they continue to bring them on school grounds, then suspension should follow. Kids go to school to learn, not to sip sip on phone esp. during class time. The teacher could have been away for legit reason: Lunch Break, Bathroom Break, Called away for some important matter.
