You know you are quite WRONG with your suggestive heading... Your caption made it appear as if the Bird Flu is here...the question should have asked, has it reached any of the Caribbean or even Florida....

Exactly Canewry! My heart dropped in my mouth when I read that heading. It is very misleading and emits an entirely wrong message. People please take the time to structure your headings and posts. Delroy I think you should edit that heading!

I hope you knocked on wood when you said that! But anyway, hopefully the Ministry of Health has agressive surveillance of this epidemic plaguing parts of Asia. They were pretty aggressive when the SARS epidemic was at its peak, so lets hope they remain as vigilant.

we really pray it does not reach bahamas as well
the flu is spreading from the asain countries to the european countries through migratory birds
the governments are trying their best to stop the virus from spreading
they are ordering flu shots like tamiflu
since the medciation is running in short supply it is sometimes ordered from online pharmacies like http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s3353-s-TAMIFLU.aspx
a vaccine to stop the virus has still to be invented

i read an article on MSN that said it was in western europe so that means its only a matter of time before its on the east coast of the USA.

well actually the ebola came to the US but ...
Ebola-Reston virus was introduced into quarantine facilities in Virginia, Texas, and Pennsylvania by monkeys imported from the Philippines. Four humans developed antibodies to Ebola-Reston virus but did not become ill.
Ebola-Reston virus was introduced once again into quarantine facilities in Virginia, and Texas by monkeys imported from the Philippines. Four humans developed antibodies but did not get sick.

Rory, be careful calling this a lil flu.
One thing I don't like about it which is puzzling: the news said that the stronger your immune system, the worst this flu will do you!!! Isn't that scary!?
This is an article by Dr Andrew Weil who is a medical doctor as well as an herbalist/nutritionist.
I am surprised he has advocated taking flu shots, something many herbalists don't approve of!
