A uniform should be worn only by those who have taken the oath within that Uniformed Branch. Anything else is just crass impersonation.

The "government"(" " because they don't know what it means to govern) already SLAPPED:voodoo: every long-serving prison officer in the face by bringing in their crony to run the place, but for him to wear the uniform! What the hell is that! He looks terrible in it, fat and unshaven. Someone needs to enlighten him as to the proper grooming for MEN IN UNIFORM!

He's not a supt, he is however a civillian in charge of the prison (this is the equvilant of the Supt of the Prison but he never took the oath of office)

The officers dont have a choice in the matter, however the move was a loved one, you had senior officers who felt that they should have been the supt and he remain a consultant. (as a man in uniform i have to agree with the officers):cop:

This is a sad time...talking about political stuff when a mans life has been lost is cold and heartless.

And we must pray for the family of Mr Bowles and his three children.

I totally agree with you. Right now should be a time of mourning and offering condolences to the family. There will be a enough time to assign blame and ridicule to all unsundry. Let us continue to pray for his family and close friends on such a tragic death.

I hope the family may find comfort in the fact that he died while in execution of his duty. After hearing that he had left behind three children and none a shade over twelve, it brought tears to my eyes. Let us all hope this this sad situation never happens again in our land.

Yeah it is sad .. i wonder what they will do to the escapies, like if they havent already killed the one that murdered him, what will they do with that criminal when they catch them, or if they caught him already ... in other words, will they just put them back in prison at ours and the deceased guard's families expenses, and for 1 or 2 years like they do so many murderers, or will they start clearing this country of the murderers by actually executing them for a change ..

as bad as that sounds, we are at war with the criminals and now is not a time to be soft, the decision is not for the faint of heart and thats why they need someone tough in charge, right now there is noone there that can or is doing the job, dont see anyone in the FNM either.
