Alien 02-03-06, - 09:47 PM Homos were allways among us... just that now they have been given a voice and a forum to speak it on!! :shhh: This is what happens when liberalism is taken too literal!! Sad to say...because not everything is meant for public display.. sex is one of those things! :sarcastic pharoah 02-05-06, - 03:59 PM Based on what you just said that means we should overlook the rapist etc. Look its just a feeling & we as human beings curtail feelings everyday.Take me for instance their are people on this board in certain threads I would really like to bash their heads in, but I dn't. :) I totally agree with you. We all have feeling and disposition but carrying those thoughts out that makes the difference. We all have our struggles but there are deeds that are wrong either morally, biblically or naturally, and homosexuality defies the natural and biblical position of things. No body is suggesting that homosexual don't have strong disposition toward the same sex, what we are saying is that it is unnatural and unbiblical. Deal with it like the rest of us. Take for an example we have bahamians who have a strong disposition to mess with married folks for whatever reasons they use. We who believe in the bible are not perfect. But can we really say that cheating with someone wife is right in and of itself? No!, and no matter how we try to rationalize it, adultery is wrong. End of story. BTW my brother I believe I am one of those you would like to bash over the head, but I am greatful you choose not to carry out those negative thoughts. Thanks for being strong...LOL Tafadhali 02-05-06, - 09:54 PM Based on what you just said that means we should overlook the rapist etc. Look its just a feeling & we as human beings curtail feelings everyday.Take me for instance their are people on this board in certain threads I would really like to bash their heads in, but I dn't. :) ...I know its not mine:cutie: but if it were I always have a weapon on me:shhh: ...it goes back to my days of killing lizards on the island... fuk wit me if you want to.:voodoo:  pkmeow 07-07-08, - 12:43 PM I cant be accused of that. and crediting that statement towards me is totally off base. You should just know that making assumptions can get your arse in trouble. Like I said earlier I read and listen and form objective opinions too! You dont have to leave the Bahamas to have a world view! True...but what kind of world view would it truly be? *sigh* The Exotic One 07-07-08, - 01:15 PM I am a youth director and of reason we had our panel discussion on the above topic and many children claimed that this type of behavior is a norm in the their schools. and that some of the smartest children are entangle in it and so many of them try it out because they are either curious or they need extra love and attention. what are your views. I believe that we must arrest this demon sprit and move it away from our kids. We must identify persons who are involue in this type of action and keep them away from our children. I donot accept the alleged fact that some of these people are born like that and cannot help themself. We are born of other race and each one of us is born male or female. That is a fact. When one chooses to be involue with their same sex thats a matter of choice. I like believe that these people should seek help for their choice and turn to our Lord. lets us protect or little darling all. adidasboi987 07-07-08, - 01:31 PM I believe that we must arrest this demon sprit and move it away from our kids. LotusPhoenix 07-07-08, - 01:52 PM So being gay is the "in thing" and thus kids are doing it? I seriously doubt that. I doubt that a hetero person would engage in homosexual acts unless they are getting some pleasure out of it. The only difference is that now since it is the "in thing" as you put it, it is more socially acceptable. This means a person with gay tendencies is more free to act on it than in times past. In regard to the arrogance part, I don't see what that has to do with anything. Actually sadly it is. Not so much for boys but for girls, I think it can be. Two girls at a club make out, its a sure way for attention. Not that this issue is so clear cut, but that is one factor. A big one though is probably that they are gay:taped2: asterz57 07-07-08, - 02:09 PM the main question here is why do soo many teens in the bahamas turn to homosexuality and i still havent seen any posts that answer ha question Maybe we should ask some of them. School kids today are open to experimenting and dont have hang ups like most adults. They tend not to care what other people think and do what they feel. Some do it out of curiosity and others do it for attention. I've heard my Priest say that young people turn to a homosexual lifestyle because of broken relationships with their parents. I feel that it is a matter of preference based on life experiences. I dont feel that a person is born gay. pkmeow 07-07-08, - 02:24 PM Bahamians kill me with some of the foolishness they allow themselves to come up with. The down fall of this nation will not be the gays, or single parent homes...it will be the ignorance of those so set in their own self-righteousness that they lack the desire or ability to see beyond it. I'm gay...as gay as the day is long, as gay as any straight man is straight and it took me some time to deal with it. I'm not gay because I was molested. I'm not gay because I wasn't loved at home. I'm not gay because my father wasn't around...in fact, my father soars above every Bahamian man I know, he still is an amazing parental figure who is a huge part of my life. I'm gay because I didn't choose to be this way, who would? And, if you had happened to be in my bedroom when I was 15, on the floor with my head in the carpet crying and pleading for God to take this gayness away from me. Now I thank him for making me this way, believe it or not. When you're naturally different from the people around you it sometimes forces you to naturally have a different perspective on the world. And yes, I say natural despite what some of you have said about homosexuality being unnatural. Dictating what is natural and what isn't is tricky. Usually we understand something as being natural by observing nature and the nature of things. It might interest you to know that members of many species of animals engage in homosexual activity, some even enter into life long homosexual relationships. It's that perspective, along with my hardworking parents, I credit for the remarkably successful career I have, my apartment in downtown DC,my stellar academic career, the straight and gay Bahamian and American friends, and the loving same sex relationship I'm in. Being gay kept me out of trouble and off of the streets, and it's taught the people around me to appreciate and cherish difference and diversity. A pastor once told me that is value he saw in GLBT people. So you can talk about the Bible...that book that's been responsible for countless wars, translated by countless clergy with their own political and social perspectives and in fact even by a King who did so because of his own sexual indiscretions...that book condemns some of the things we do everyday, and from which much has been exclude but you cannot deny the truth of my life. A life that is governed by the principles of Christ, loving my neighbor, never judging and reminding everyone that we all have God inside of us (he never said anything about the gays). *****kat Meow Madison1985 07-07-08, - 03:32 PM I am a youth director and of reason we had our panel discussion on the above topic and many children claimed that this type of behavior is a norm in the their schools. and that some of the smartest children are entangle in it and so many of them try it out because they are either curious or they need extra love and attention. what are your views. bout da smart set, dat is tru cuz my cousin is a lesbian and she was valedictorian for our school and da previous year before, was her gf, but i wud say dat yes dey are curious cuz how much kids go off to college and try havin same sex? alot because dey are being exposed to that and i really didnt find out bout same sex till i was in high school wen da kids started spreadin rumours bout my cousin till i found it was tru, |
