Tiko Ba Igi Le Hin Ogba Ma Nwo, [if a fence dose not have props it will collapse a Yoruba Proverb]
To the Seventh Generation, the Ancestors, Members of Bahamas Issues, Flipmode Squad, My granola bar eating tree hugging dirt worshipping Hippie comrades.
I come to you in the sprit of MAAT.
I thought that I would reacquaint you on why The Theory and Praxis of National culture is vital to your and my existence and the collective continuation of the country. I call this the writing on the wall, I was examining the courses offered at the college of the Bahamas in an attempt to find a course that would offer the material that is here, I have not found one may be you will, if you do let me know.
As I was driving along the highway, it was such a beautiful day, temp in the mid 40 degrees Celsius, listening to talk radio, now here is a point talk radio is mostly right wing propaganda, I don’t subscribe to right wing propaganda but I do like sharpening my critical thinking skills, I am always engage in the art of Mental Aikido Combat, thus the counters were just humming in my mind, the weakness visible I was as always in the zone, chi flowing always. Then it hit me.
I want to talk with you, that’s right you, one on one right here on the pentagram in the circle marked with the four candles for the four directions. I want to talk with you about the Prison of the mind.
Your [our minds] mind is jacked in continuously. The system (matrix/culture) continuously creates your reality through television, internet, radio, newspaper magazine. It alters your moods through mind altering substances, high fructose corn syrup, excessive salts and variations in rhythms.
The assault on your mind [our minds are] is unrelenting, as you take in sights created by this system (matrix/culture/white supremacy) to teach you what is beauty, how to conform. Unless you have been free, your [our] mind that is; all this is oblivious

You make this mistake ALL THE TIME
DOSE means a measured amount of medicine
DOES means to produce, to perform or execute, to carry out
You try and pontificate, but you are like the Emperor with no clothes when you make grammar mistakes a 7 year old would catch. You have no idea how ridiculous sounding you are, especially with the Freudian slip.

i figure its either a 10 year old black american kid on a high for racial divide, reading all those books on what the white man did to the black man, etc etc, or a 80 year old stuck in an old age home somewhere .. i mean what if a white person (caucasion for the racially challenged) was to say they went to a white college, their white professor taught them brilliant white history, and all they read are books by white authors ... :shaky: and then they wrote essay after essay about that, as well as kingdoms and fairy tales, on forums all over the internet, with bad grammer and uncoherent sentences .. one word = nutcase ..

Casual observer thank you for the reference to the Emperor has no clothes, in fact that would work well in this discussion here, however you have missed the point once again, which is why the instilling of a national culture in every member of the society is so important.
I was wondering how long it would be before you would take that bone I left out there for you, it is necessary to appear weak some times in order to draw others to you, The Art Of War by Sun Tzu, by the way it is on the reading list for this thread.
What you need is a dose of national culture its theory and praxis then you can go about the does, ok do you overstand, or are you still in the box of academia. Say something! I am just into the audio mode today, I have a book for you unlimited power by Tony Robinson, but true to form I am in a spiral mode as well, I am now going to return to the saga, but before I do I wish you would grace me with a comparison between myself and the emperor has no clothes, I always pictured myself more as imhotep, the worlds first multi genius medical doctor and designer of the great pyramid in Egypt, and then in some ways I see myself as Hannibal both states man and warrior of the highest order. {By the way grammatically this is a very bad sentence or may be not but can you derive the ideas out of it I wonder}
There is some thing incredible about thinking about pushing your mind to work with new concepts it makes the mind grow stronger. I read in Mega Brain a book written in the 70 about experiments with mice. in which they placed some mice in a stimulus plus environment and another set in a stimulus deprive environment, they had a third group that was mid way. What they found was that the mice in the stimulus plus environment had bigger brains. Thus it is necessary to exercise our minds as disuse leads to atrophy. If you are reading this post you are exercising your mind, and remember he or she who controls the mind controls the body, and this thread is about working with you in the process of creating a national culture that will give you the keys to control your mind.
Back in the 1970 during flag day or as they say independence day, we as a people created a typical error, most of you here were still concepts in your parents heads at the time and thus bear no responsibility for this act of negligence. What occurred is the people did not create an agency for the creation, maintenance and advancement of its national culture. You are now to blame because you still live in a country that does not have a national culture, and as long as these conditions exist then every mind is subject to the unabated assault of Neocolonialism. Therefore I am introducing terms from the book Yurugu by Marimba Ani to aid us in the creation of this national culture, and the freeing of our minds:
Asili; The logos of a culture, within which its various aspects cohere. It is the developmental germ/seed of a culture. It is the cultural essence, the ideological core, the matrix of a cultural entity which must be identified in order to make sense of the collective creation of its members.
Utamawazo; culturally structured though. It is the way in which cognition is determined by a cultural Asili. It is the way in which the thought of members of a culture must be patterned if the Asili is to be fulfilled.
Utamaroho; The vital force of a culture, set in motion by the Asili. It is the thrust or energy source of a culture; that which gives it its emotional tone and motivates the collective behavior of its members. Both the Utamawazo and the Utamaroho are born out of the Asili and in turn affirm it. They should be thought of as distinct from the Asili but as its manifestations.
Cultural Other; A conceptual/existential construct which allows Europeans to act out their most extreme aggression and destructiveness, while simultaneously limiting their collective self-destruction on a conscious level.
Rhetorical Ethic; Culturally structured European hypocrisy. It is a statement framed in terms of acceptable moral behavior towards others that is meant for rhetorical purpose only. Its purpose is to disarm intended victims of European cultural and political imperialism. It is meant for ‘export’ only. It is not intended to have significance within the culture. Its essence is its deceptive effect in the service of European power.”
A small recap, I have introduced five more concepts to aid in this discussion:
1. Asili
2. Utamawazo
3. Utamaroho
4. Cultural Other
5. Rhetorical Ethic

The fact that you don't even acknowledge what I say leads me to return the favour. If you want to communicate, learn to spell, learn to construct sentences, stop plagarising other peoples work or forwarding it as your own.
For me to explain to you how you relate to the Emperor with no clothes only solidifies my point that you speak with complete ignorance.
Better yet, go to another website and post there.:cop: If there isn't anyone else to accept you, then start your own praxisissues.com. I'm sure all 1 of you will enjoy it. :yoyo:

Namaste to all as you experience the second day of Kwanza.
Casualobserver yes i do make Gramatical mistakes on a continuous basis. However this is an open ended study, which means that it is being reviewed and corrected on a continuous basis.
I some how came across some infomation that you were engage in some higher for of education therefore i assumed you knew that each bit of work that i quote is in " I can only show you the door, You have to open it" Morpheous to Neo in the movie the Matrix. I thought you were aware of this techincal finess, but your accusation of plagarism is mean sprited and unfounded as source is quoted so that you the reader can check for your self. But as i am continual saying this is not a post of unsubstantiated opions, this is an examination of the praxis and theory of national culture, I dont know if you understand what that means, but in a simpler fashion it means the ideas and the practice of national culture. Thus if we want to overstand the idea of grammar each post deals with this main idea, infact you can pull them all together and make a book.
You mention the emperors has no clother are you refering to the emperors new clothes, or the emperor has no clothes as these are two different books. I asked you to explain what you are implying by this because you brought it up, and if you recall in the past you have brought up forest gump, and star wars in your post and i have questioned you on their relavance to the subject. In this thread the Essential Theory And Praxis Of National Culture there is a recognition of the importance that mythology place in the maintanence, defense and propogation of a culture, thus i was and still am curious as to how this Emperor has no clothes applies.
I have given you three paragraphs more than i intended, yet in all your post you have added nothing to the subject at hand, which is an issue i have with you.Now at this junction in time i am going back to the BOOK YURUGO AN AFRICAN_CENTERED CRITIQUE OF EUROPEAN CULTURAL THOUGHT AND BEHAVIOR BY MARIMBA ANI, AND I WILL BE USING THE FOLLOWING TERMS FROM HER BOOK. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOLLOWING SYMBOLS "SEE" INDICATE THAT THESE ARE EXTRACTION OF SOME ONE ELSE WORK NOT MINE THUS LAY OFF ON THE ACUSATION OF PLAGARISM AS THESE SYBOLS ARE USED WHEN EVER I AM QUOTING FROM ANOTHER SOURCE:
"FIRST WORLD PEOPLE
AFRICAN DESCENDENTS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
MAJORITY PEOPLE
THE MEMBERS OF THE INDIGENOUS CORE CULTURES OF THE WORLD REGARDED COLLECTIVELLY, EXCLUDING THE EUROPEAN MINORITY.
NATIONALISM
IDEOLOGICAL COMMITMENT TO THE PERPETUATION, ADVANCEMENT, AND DEFENSE OF CULTURAL, POLITICAL RACIAL ENTITY, AND WAY OF LIFE. THIS USE OF THE TERM IS NEITHER LIMITED TO NOR DETERMINED BY THE BOUNDRIES OF A NATION STATE AS DEFINED EUROCENTRICALLY."

Just who do you think you are? As best as anyone can tell, you aren't Bahamian nor have any connection to the Bahamas. What right to you have to purport any national culture issues here?
Just so you know, the Bahamas is not Harlem, Detroit, Compton or any other American city with majority populations of non-caucasians. Yes, 80% of the population is black, but that does not mean that the civil rights issues that exist in the US exist here in Bahamaland. We have black Prime Ministers and black business people with significant wealth.
Your posts fall on deaf ears because the theroies proposed have no relavance to this country, this culture, or this nation.
Your in depth research is all well and good for what you want to learn, but don't assume that every black person in the whole world thinks the same way you do. What may be important to you is not necessarily important to anyone else. Respect that.
While the books you've cited are probably all very good sources of information in one way or another, it just isn't of interest to many Bahamians. You challenge me directly to contribute on the subject, but you don't see any other Bahamians jumping into the thread either, do you?
The only reason the thread has this many posts is because people are either making fun of you or telling you to stop your diatribes. Get the hint, move on.

casualobserver 12-27-05, - 02:17 PM Man CO leave the nutcase alone.Just because he can't think or form a hypothesis for himself is no reason for you to pick on him.
I'm not picking on him. What you highlighted in my post was sincere. The references and books he's suggested are all good information for those that have an interest in the subject. I just don't see too many people interested is all...
Now behave & apoligise to the Lil Misfit.
Somehow being called a blockhead and singled out for his abuse keeps me from considering this suggestion. I'm open to anyone with an opposing opinion, but I'll sure as fire&brimstone make my opinion known too.
The Essential Theory And Praxis of National Culture as explained by a1000, in my humble opinion, doesn't reflect the Bahamian way. It doesn't apply to today's Bahamas. This isn't the deep south of America, South Africa, nor any one of a multitude of examples of 'the man keepin' us down'. This country's geographic and cultural history has been influenced by countries around the world. Its relatively stable government, its financial advantage, and its exposure to billions of people over the course of time elevates it to a league of it's own.
Being close to two world superpowers (UK diplomatically & USA geographically) has provided the Bahamas the opportunity to secure modern and progressive ideals, instruments, goods and services that would have never been available under different circumstances. Look at your computer, watch, car, TV, Xbox, cable TV, cell phone, or the stuff under your Christmas tree and tell me I'm wrong....
Haiti is a land of lush forests, natural resources, lots of space, mountains, streams of fresh water, workable farmland, etc. It should be a friggin' utopia with a booming economy and a population of educated and peaceful people. Yet Haiti hasn't enjoyed the same prosperity that a chain of 700 limestone rocks has enjoyed for decades. Why? Part of it can be explained by our alliances with both the Old (UK) and New (US) Worlds. We take advantage of their advances while still maintaining the island way of life. The UK provided the basis for governing, the US provides the technology and modern goods. Our location as a tax haven invites money from around the globe. We pose a huge security threat to the US making it important that we remain their ally.
Last though before this gets too long (too late?) is the fact that the Bahamas has enjoyed the leadership of the majority for 30 years. Despite what we read in the paper, white people have consistantly lived in relative harmony under a Black leader. Currently we also have a black woman Deputy leader. The US and the UK haven't really gotten close to these accomplishments, as pathetic as that is.
Regardless of how a1000 wants to phrase it, there is already an acceptance and ackowledgement here that black leaders are just as (un)worthy as any white one. The praxis is already somewhat in effect, but bourne of different conditions than the references made by a1000...

This is for the Seventh Generation.
Actually Casual Observer the failure of the FNM to deliver on the 1992 Manifesto gives me the authority to write the Theory and Praxis of National Culture. I am well aware of the Neocolonial Culture that prevails in the Bahamas, as I have been fighting against it while you were but a concept in the minds of your parents. You make a lot of assumptions about your importance, and I must inform you that whether you respond or not I will write in this thread, your participation is neither necessary or mandatory, nor any of the other response in this thread as they have for the most part been of no value to the subject at hand. Its amazing that you are unable to see the parallels between Black people in Harlem and black people in the Bahamas, that dose not surprise me tho as we as a people have an exaggerated sense of our importance in fact we believe that we are not even part of the Caribbean. My challenge to you is the same challenge to every one who posts in this thread which is that you think about what you post, this is not about opinions I am not picking you out because, you are not special. If you read instead of acting the fool you would realize that when I labeled you and others block heads it was because you were not thinking, look at the post, it’s all there. I am still waiting for the comparison to the emperor’s new clothes, which you have not yet produced.
In 1992 I joined ranks of many Bahamian youths and young people who saw through the corruption of the PLP government and realize that it was time for LO to go. I remember sitting down and having a conversation with “Bozzie” Anthony Rolle about the importance of education, and the changes that the FNM were going to implement. I remember that time because we as a country were on the threshold of a revolution. Now that I look at the state of the country I see a dream betrayed, it’s not just the fault of the FNM but it is the fault of all of us who worked to bring change to the country to mould it in a new light. This is my authority to write this thread. I will be drawing on the Manifesto 92 by the FNM soon.
A responsible citizen dedicates his or her self to the protection and the development of his or her country. He or she dose not make excuses but dose the best they can with what ever they have to achieve that goal.

Namaste;
To the seventh generation, these are the best of times and by a similar token these are the worst of times.
Casual observer has brought up some interesting points, however at this junction I want to introduce an old classic Meters and Scopes How To Use Test Equipment, page 70-71:
“………………………..Circuit Testing Consideration The Logical Approach;
1. Symptom recognition
2. symptom elaboration
3. listing of probably faulty functions
4. localizing the faulty function
5. Localizing trouble to the circuit.
6. Failure analysis…………..”
I am always amazed at the circular nature of knowledge; I will be going deeper into these techniques as a means of understanding the nature of The Essential Theory and Praxis of National Culture.
