View Full Version : Sour Grapes
canewry 11-10-05, - 09:39 PM Your previous post implied that they (Wells & Dupuch) were somehow the cause of the bad behaviour in the Leadership Convention in 2001 and I'm simply stating that they weren't, they were indeed the victims. The reason I think that the FNM seems to be behaving a bit better this lap is because, wisely they realise that that DISUNITY caused their tremendous cut hip in 2002.
Also, the actioners of that bad behaviour were this time reportedly listening to "the crescendo of voices" and were not driven by who THEY might have wanted as Leader and Dep. Leader, but don't count your chickens before they hatch...election day was today, so let's see what happens.
Victims or not, they are now men without a party...They have received the worst punishment ever: Banishment... All the disgruntled FNM's returned home, but Wells and Depuch, they watch, watch on the sidelines as the game is played.

So the party has matured...
Has Mr. Wells and Mr. Dupuch matured, or are they still mud slinging?
Tafadhali 11-10-05, - 09:41 PM One would be surprised that this outcome was planned some three to four years ago. We all need to read between the lines and take it as it is: just politics and tricks...
:uh:i know that!:shhh: :gi:
Im sorry but ... anything would be better than a government with Mother Pratt and Christie .. be it PLP or FNM or ... whatever ..

I don't hold a brief for Mssrs. Wells or Dupuch, but I don't remember any of them slinging mud; like I said before Wells was the victim and Dupuch (as his ally and fellow anti-Ingrahamite) was hit in the ricochet...In terms of the future, well Mr. Wells is a bit of question mark, but Dupuch has openly declared that he will not run in the next election...LOL....Of course he can change his mind.

There might be an element of truth in that but both men have seats in the Lower House which is precisely what other certain players "in the game" desire.

Only for a time my dear.
Its not going to be like the last election where the PLP did not run a candidate against Wells and Dupuch...This election the PLP needs as many seats as they can get...
Wells and Dupuch will get shut out on this lap. Hopefully they will become better statesmen than politicians.
dacy2003 11-11-05, - 10:09 AM How about Killer-Miller, boy that man could rhow! LOL:angel:

Are you suggesting that they're not good politicians?
Great Demos 11-11-05, - 07:51 PM Re Wells and Dupuch, at least I have more respect for them than I have for Algernon Allen. They all didn't like how they were treated in that 2001 nomination procedure. They all "cussed out" Ingraham and Co, but Wells and Dupuch stuck to their guns and ran as independents. This shows gumption and courage on their part. Allen, however, returned to the FNM "like a dog to his vomit".
I believe one of the best things to happen in this convention was Brent Symonette winning the Deputy Leader position. This should result in White Bahamians feeling more welcome as citizens in their own country again!

no, I am not suggesting that at all. I am saying that they are not good leaders!
