I think the Cubans are willing to risk death more for freedom than economics although I'm sure that plays a part in it.

are you saying that only white cubans want freedom and a better life/that black cubans love castro and cuba the way it is now.

I've never been to Cuba but I think anyone in a situation like them would want to change it.

Maybe there are more white Cubans fleeing because just like almost everywhere else the black cubans are kept down more and therefore do not have the opportunity to the same degree that the white ones do.
