Because you cannot effectively argue against his point of view; you and other members have resorted to name calling and insults. I hope when you campaign for the FNM you insult your fellow Bahamian citizens and call them names as you have done with Chickoi
I will make it known now that anyone who visits my house and call me names or insults me because I don’t see things their way I will spit in their face and I am well prepared for retaliation
Why don't you ask George Bush if you have to be smart to be successful!!!

Someone insulted the TROLL!? Spit in their face? Sorry, noone wants to visit your shed. Good luck with the cocoa puffs. Aspirin is good too. Lata clint.

Chickoi/clint/Clint Carlton/a1000/and yours truly .. SPAMMED THE FORUM, SPAM is illegal in the country he resides, USA. And SPAM is against the rules of this forum, and all moderated forums.

Its not that we want to make fun of him; its just that he makes it so easy. Chickoi (french sounding name) post at times, lack luster, sense, and moreso its repetitive.

I really hope all crabs dont think like you cause we gone to far to have zns play a roots marathon :shaky:

I would be looking forward to it. I have never seen the series.

You people dont watch ZNS!!!

Black people are sinners and white people are sinners. If you ask the same people who have a problem with ROOTS to talk about the evils of Mr. Pindling or the evils of Black people. THEY WILL SPEAK WITHOUT HESITATION!!!!! On the other hand if someone tries to expose the sins of white people, they want you to shut up and sweep their dirt under the carpet and they have brainwashed some other blacks to do the same. But the Jews never forget the Holocaust!

You see White is the color of angels and it is wrong to portray angels as sinners. But Black is the color of demons so it is OK to expose the evil of Black people!!

It is my job to expose Hypocrisy!!

Roots?? Whats that?

Anyway, sins of White People and Sins of Black People?? So every white and black person must suffer because of what some others who just happened to be the same color skin did donkeys years ago ..? So what about the English Enslaving and Slautering the Scotish, a few hundred odd years ago? What about the Spanish and the West Indians? What about the IRA, What about The Romans?? Can go on and on ... but what happened happened, nothing any of us that werent alive back then, can do about it now, and nor are any of us resposible for what happened - black or white or green or blue.

Obviously the PLP is not the same thing as the above situations ... the PLP was just a typical regime back then ... the new PLP is different .. but they just havent done anything for the Bahamas, that Is noticable. Not saying the FNM is better or will do better, but what else is there ..?? Anything is gotta be better than it is now ..

I am not saying that anybody has to suffer for anyone else. What I am saying is that the good and the evils of both races must be exposed as historical fact so that we can learn from past experiences and we do not allow the same mistakes to be repeated. English enslaving the Scottish!!! Your comparison of these slave trades with African slave trade is almost insulting and it shows me that you need to be more educated on this matter. None of the slave trades you mentioned came even close to the magnitude and evil suffered by Africans in the African slave trade.

It was Africans who were actually thought by whites that they were inferior. (like animals)
It was African slaves that were denied the right to marry
It was African slaves that were denied the right to basic education
It was African slaves who were denied the right to own land or vote.
Only African slaves were trained to rally one against the other (field slaves-domestic slaves)
African slaves unlike other slaves could not be missed. (A white slave can easily escape and blend in)
African slaves were the only slaves to endure an extensively long period of discrimination and racism long after emancipation. Just to mention a few

There is no close comparison!

This is why many Black people will kill each other over nothing because many of them still sub-consciously believe that they are nothing and their fellow Black man is nothing. (Hence the term Black on Black violence) Only if we understand this we can begin to correct the problem. ALMOST ALL OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED EFFECTS OF SLAVERY ARE STILL PRESENT TODAY!

When I was in school I learned about the good and mostly evil things that Columbus did. I learnt it as a matter of historical fact. I did not feel guilty because I had nothing to do with it. So why should you feel guilty if historical facts were thought that you had nothing to do with!!

Perhaps it is you that needs to be more educated on the above mentioned. (English & Scottish)

And there is still a large slave trade today, but it involves Eastern Europeans mostly, from the old Soviet States, as well as Asians. It is happening as we speak, but noone is twisting their nickers over that suffering. And lets not forget the current and more recent suffering going on in Africa today.

Im not condoning the slavery of way way way back then, but it has nothing to do with us now, the present, white or black. There are new problems that need dealing with.

PLP,PLP,PLP,PLP the Claer choice for the Bahamian People. Stable and committed!

The Progressive Liberal Party as the Formidable Opposition!?! Now there is something I could live with comfortably. But I wonder if you're saying this with conviction or out of "pure lunacy"? Hmmmmmm!

If there was a point to this when you referred to Post that you selected to reply then I missed it or you're not much smarter than your friend, Chickoi. There was no name calling in that post. "Brain with no words and now words with no brain!" Hmmmm! I wonder if there was any name calling in that!?!

Maybe there is one more? It would explain the Seventh Generation references. One name for each personality in his head.

You are wrong. The foundation of the Bahamian society was the Slave Plantation Society; ask any architect / engineer and they'll tell you the most important (and often most costly) part of a building is its FOUNDATION! The Plantation Society (remember: modern Bahamas' foundation) was erected to benefit one group off of the labour of another group. The group that benefited were of course slave owners and were of course white. The group that played the role of chattel were of course slaves and were of course black. The relevance of this fact of Plantation life is simply that it aximomatically put one group above / over another and that this was systematically enforced.

Why is all this relevant today? Because it helps to explain the sources of varying elements, ideas, practises, etc. of today's society. For example, how we got here, why is Junkanoo a part of culture etc...

My point is simply that the history of a thing is very relevant to the proper study of that thing, whatever it may be. Its genesis is critically important to understanding it, so please don't say it has nothing to do with us now.

I think that FNM's (and so like-minded people) are a bit too optimistic of Mr. Ingraham's abilities. The man is politically wounded, with a host of topics and discussions on which he is more than vulnerable. If I were them, I would not be as enthusiatic.

On another note, Hubert Ingraham's election effectively invalidated an entire generation of aspiring leaders; the results of which will be felt for a long time.
