So are you saying that because they educated themselves in order to get paying jobs other than making beds in a hotel something is wrong with it...or as you call it slavery...it is my view that every man has a right to decide his own destiny....by the way those maids make a lot of money..... it is mental slavery to think only white Bahamians can get good jobs or own businesses....for the majority we as black people like to sit on our:taped: a**ses and wait for the Government and the politicians to give us hand outs instead of doing for ourselves i say go to school educate yourself ...send your kids to school teach them manners and respect for the teachers, and they too can get a good job like white folk......stop bit**in:taped: and put the blame where it should be( at your door step ) Pindling Government has enslaved our minds to think once you are a white Bahamian you have no say in this society, which is wrong.
your post is a stereotypical half arsed and untruthful assumption.Black people are not lazy, we are fierce and resilient, stop that right now! Stop buying into myths.
Yes every man is the keeper of their destiny but there has to be an economic climate condusive to making our Bahamian dream come true! Im saying look at the opportunities- there is damn near no other choice other than bedmaking ...that's not fear to us as a people!
How much money does those maids make...300 per week well you selling yourself short and cheap..cus dat een no money!
I dont have inferiority complex with my blackness, no white man or woman is better than me AT ALL. The difference between them and me is that I dont have generational wealth made on the backs of slaves or any other unscrupulous acts some Bahamians made money from in our past. At the same time it is sad that in our modern Bahamas we have a gov't advocating "Bay Street Boys" foolishness to get votes. We are greater together than apart.
