…Im talking about Kerzner either one.
When I was in undergrad I remember telling a teacher about my country and Atlantis and how it was owned by a white S. African and she just gave this puzzled look. I thought about it recently and it came to me one early morning and I guess I figures out what her “look” meant.
Shame came over me, I dont mean to alienate any white Bahamians with this statement but they have their money already, the reality that black people don’t own nothing is this country is sickening. The little that we do, our BLACK leaders would like to take it from us and give it away all in the name of the “foreign investment”.
“owned by a white south African” is just six words but it can be viewed so many ways.
Some Bahamians may think
The rich white man
“Bossman”
Atlantis
But I think:
product of Zulu territory stolen by white people
S.Africa and their history of apartheid- what makes me think a white man from their comes to another black majority country and doesn’t feel the same and tink the about Black people in another land
Foreignor getting more out of our leaders than Bahamians
Atlantis- why cant I or any other natural born Bahamian of any hue realize this dream in my own land?
Billionaire (if he is) why my country ‘s “leaders” don’t think enough of Bahamians so maybe one day we also can have numerous millionaires and wealthy billionaires gone to bed.
Something is deftly wrong with this picture. Who really owns this nation?
